We moved to Washington from OC and searched for a cake shop to deliver to Irvine for my father’s 92nd birthday, he does love desserts! Thought this would make his day special and boy did it. Ordered him a dozen cupcakes, and the OH-EM-GEE pack arrived on time and was beautiful. He was so happy and said they were too appetizing to share. Never got a good picture, he ate them too quickly. This is definitely the best money I have ever spent on a gift, he felt so special and loved. We will definitely use them again as they were so professional, not to mention they make great cupcakes! Thank you for making Arnold’s birthday one that he will remember.

Wowow. Patty’s Cakes is very off-the-beaten-path for me but I’m so glad I made the trek out to try them
I came by at 8 PM, slightly worried that I would have already missed out on the best-selling cupcakes. To my delight, I discovered that the cupcakes are frosted to order, and there is no such thing as selling out here.
They have a massive menu spread with all kinds of combinations. It was almost overwhelming. I tried to get a variety to sample a few different frostings and cakes I’ve got to say, these cupcakes were great. The cake part was moist and fluffy, almost like a box cake mix (a good thing) and the frostings were YUM.
My fave two combos were the red velvet with cream cheese and the chocolate cake with marshmallows inside and fudge frosting. The strawberry cake was also solid. Their fudge frosting is a TRUE fudge frosting, almost like hot fudge. So so so amazing. The only one I didn’t love was the chocolate mousse frosting, but hey, we were 5 for 6 here which is pretty great.
Overall, a great cupcake bakery. Not a lot of standalone cupcake places have survived since the cupcake boom from the 2010s, but I am happy to know that this one is around.

The cupcakes were moist and had great flavor. Hard to choose with so many options. The frosting is not too sweet or not too heavy. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the flavors. They are a little pricey but you can tell they use good ingredients and they look and taste great.

Got the usual birthday cupcakes this week. They are always freaking amazing. Tried the pumpkin seasonal cupcakes which did not disappoint! Patty’s is the 1st and only place I think of for a great cupcake!

Really great cupcakes. There are so many flavors to choose from. Everyone should be able to find something they like. They even have Vegan and Gluten Free. The Gluten Free and Vegan cupcakes are really good, and always packaged and labeled separately. I’ve been able to get same day delivery when I ordered online early enough. Super helpful, when you forget an event. Patty is always really helpful if you need something special or you mess up an order.

Patty is lovely and such a pleasure to work with! She is the owner and I was impressed that she personally handled our cake order. We forgot to decorate my cake but it didn’t matter because the cake was so beautifully made and everyone loved it. It was moist and the frosting is not too sweet or heavy. Delicious. The cupcakes were great and so fresh. The frosting is very light. Will definitely come again. Went on a Saturday and it was very busy so plan accordingly. There’s not much parking available so keep that in mind as well. I recommend ordering online beforehand and just picking up or getting it delivered.
