[Review] Wonderful Baby Shower Cake

Stephanie F. - Glendora, CA - 5 Star rating via Yelp

All I can say is a huge THANK YOU to Patty’s Cakes for making such a wonderful cake for my friends baby shower. The whole process of ordering the cake went completely smoothly, and everyone at the bakery was very helpful and extremely friendly. I called twice with a few questions, and both times I was met with excellent service. We chose a two tier round naked style red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and it was delicious. The cake and icing were perfect, not overly rich or sweet but very moist and tasty. Just a side note, we added the flowers and cake topper since the bakery doesn’t add fresh flowers but we didn’t mind. The only downside to this whole process was that our shower was on a Sunday so we had to pick up the cake Saturday (since they’re closed Sundays) and find space for it to be refrigerated overnight. So if you’re having a party on Sunday and need your cake then, make sure you have space to store it! Besides this, everything was flawless, the mama to be enjoyed the cake and everyone was happy!

[Review] Soft Cupcake With Delicious Frosting

Maggie M. - Hawaiian Gardens, CA - 5 Star rating via Yelp

I found this place randomly as it is close to my job. I have a sweet tooth and knew I had to try it when I saw it! It is so cute inside and out and it smells so delicious as soon as you walk in! I got a chocolate with chocolate chip, a red velvet with white moose and a chocolate on chocolate and they were amazing!! The chocolate with chocolate chip frosting with my favorite!! Totally recommend this place! The cakes were so soft and I love that they frost them for you on the spot!

[Review] “A great place to find a sweet baked treat!”

BruinDan - 5 Star rating via TripAdvisor

Located on Commonwealth Avenue east of the intersection with Euclid Street, Patty’s Cakes and Desserts is a locally popular spot to find sweet baked sweets. They recently moved to this location; it is spacious and attractive, but NOTE that there is no parking lot. You’ll have to park along the street. My mission this day was to purchase cupcakes for a group of friends from church, but you’ll find more than cupcakes at Patty’s. They have a variety of cakes for sale, or you can custom order a cake (they are highly regarded for their wedding cakes). They also offer Thrifty brand ice cream, cookies, cake balls and something called “bag of cake.” They have 52 flavors of cupcakes, including such tantalizing choices as banana split, butter pecan, chocolate with chocolate fudge, chocolate caramel salty, chocolate with mint chip mousse, lemon drop, peanut butter with chocolate fudge, piña colada, red velvet with cream cheese mousse, and white with vanilla mousse. You will probably not see any cupcakes on display because they frost your cupcakes as you order so that the frosting stays soft and creamy. I also appreciated the fact you can place your order ahead of time via their website. The service was excellent, as everyone was friendly and accommodating. The cupcakes from Patty’s were a big hit with my friends, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if the occasion calls for high-quality desserts.

[Review] Moist and delicious cakes and cupcakes!

Reshma C. - Yorba Linda, CA - 5 Star rating via Yelp

I have updated my review from my previous post to credit their excellent customer service. The owners contacted me and corrected the situation I experienced which I greatly appreciated. They cherish their customers and that is a good thing to know. Like I mentioned before, their cake balls are to die for in addition to their cupcakes and cakes. The red velvet cake that I took home that day lasted at least a week. It retained its moisture and was delicious!

[Review] Cake tasting for my cousins 18th birthday

Nica S. - Garden Grove, CA - 5 Star rating via Yelp

Came in tonight for a cake tasting for my cousin’s 18th birthday. Right away I noticed how clean and nicely decorated her shop was! (For the holidays too!)

Patty came and helped my two cousins and I. She was already off the bat so nice, bubbly and sweet. Her service was amazing and gave us her full attention and attended to my cousins requests positively. She was very prompt and handled business in a fun way. Designed quickly and results were amazing.

The cakes were very delicious and not too sweet! All the frostings were fluffy with a nice texture and weren’t too sweet either. I loved the cream cheese and chocolate chip frosting. Red velvet and chocolate cake were great!

[Review] Last minute wedding planning!!!

Philip V. - Newport Beach, CA - 5 Star rating via Yelp

We approached Patty’s Cakes somewhat last-minute in our wedding planning after switching bakers in our wedding planning. Patty’s was able to accommodate us and we were thankful. The co-owner, Philip, is very helpful and straightforward. We selected a red velvet cake for a reasonable price. Philip told us that they like to deliver the cake in stealth, like Samurai ninjas. In our experience, that is what happened. The cake was there when we got to the reception venue. Everyone loved our cake, and we even wanted to save the top portion for our one-year anniversary. We hear lots of couples don’t actually do that because their cake taste like rubbish. At Patty’s Cakes, you’ll want to save yours, too, if you have any leftovers that is.

[Review] The selection at patty’s cakes is HUGE!

Ryan Little - Fullerton, CA - 5 Star rating via Google Reviews

My girlfriend got us some of Patty’s delicious cupcakes for my birthday. As just stated, they were delicious. The selection at Patty’s Cakes is huge. She has cupcakes of all flavors and types. I had the Chocolate Coconut, the Red Velvet, and her seasonal Pumpkin Cupcake. The Pumpkin one was my favorite. The cake was moist and the buttercream frosting was creamy and wasn’t overly sweet. I will definitely be back and continue to try Patty’s seasonal cakes.

[Review] “Soooo good”!!!

Breanne M. - La Habra, CA - 5 Star rating

“Soooo good!” That’s what we said when we were shopping for wedding cakes and what our guests said at our wedding. After going through her cake photo album online, I found “thee cake” and made an appointment for a tasting. Our tasting was so intimate, no distractions, complete focus on us, it was great. After showing Patty, yes the owner was doing our tasting, the style we liked, she brought our different flavors. My fiancé at the time, requested a red velvet cake with cheese cake frosting. We tasted a lot of red velvet cakes at other tastings, but there was no denying this was the very best. Not only was the cake super moist, but it didn’t taste like dye. It was very light and airy, unlike the dense ones before, and the frosting was not a heavy buttercream, but rather a whipped, light frosting. We loved it so much that we couldn’t wait for the wedding to taste it again so we grabbed some red velvet cupcakes shortly before the wedding. Patty suggested bringing some of the orchids I would be using in my wedding to her so they could be placed on the cake, and I’m glad she did because it looked gorgeous. After tasting her cakes, there will be no contest! Thank you, Patty!
