I am very glad I happened across Patty’s while yelping for a cake vendor for my boyfriend’s birthday! I had used their online ordering service that gives you the ability to choose from their regular cakes or cupcakes. They do not do over the top decorations online, however, but they do give you a free greeting decoration, which is exactly what I needed! So if you want customizable cake options for some special occasion, they have a whole consulting room for that! I saw that they had received plentiful people’s choice rewards for their wedding cakes as well, so keep that in mind for a cheaper option!
Back to the actual cake, I purchased the red velvet cake that comes with cream cheese (I want to say it was) filling. WOW, this was a showstopper! I loved how moist and soft the cake was and every flavor balanced out one another, nothing was too sweet! That’s the most I could ask for in a cake. Also, I am not a huge red velvet person (my boyfriend is) but I ate my whole slice!
Their service was actually very accommodating as well, I had run into some car issues and could not come at the right time to pick up the cake but it stayed great and fresh until I could! They call you to confirm your order, and that is really helpful to ensure they received it mostly when I ordered online.
If you have any cake needs or want a delicious cupcake… I would not hesitate to try Patty’s.

Super cute new spot! I brought my kids for a little rainy day treat and the flavors and types of cupcakes looked so good. We ended up ordering a box of 6! We had 2 red velvet with chocolate chip mousse frosting, 2 with a chocolate fudge frosting, and my favorite the Elvis!! A banana cupcake with peanut butter mousse frosting topped with candied bacon! Their cupcakes were light and fluffy, the frosting is a semi sweet mousse which is really so perfect! Friendly staff, too. They also make custom cakes and delicious looking little cake pops. I didn’t see any use of that fake fondant crap on any of their goodies. The best cupcakes I’ve ever had to be perfectly honest!

We love this place so so much!!! I recently got married and my friend recommended Patty’s Cakes, and I am so glad she did! We went for a tasting and from the first bite, we knew we had a problem on our hands, how the heck were we going to choose just three flavors??? We ended up with lemon cake with raspberry filling (YUM), chocolate cake with cream cheese filling (DELICIOUS!), and for our top tier, my husband and I shared chocolate cake with peanut butter filling (I SERIOUSLY THINK OF THIS DAILY). We got so many compliments on how special, beautiful, and heavenly our wedding cake was. Their cakes are made with undeniable quality and care. THANK YOU PATTY’s CAKES!! This review is long overdue. We were so lucky to find Patty’s Cakes to cater our wedding cake. Bethany helped us design our cupcake tier and our cake atop the tier. We wanted something simple yet elegant and they provided the perfect design, coupled with the BEST flavor of white cake with the vanilla mouse. Patty’s Cakes added a shimmer on the mouse to give it a nice fluorescent and it came out perfect! EVERYONE at the wedding LOVED their cupcake! Many of our friends asked for the business name for them to purchase cakes privately. WOW! is what I said when I took my first bite, this was the best cupcake I have ever had in my lifetime. Chocolate with Peanut Butter Mousse was the one I had would recommend it for sure. I highly recommended this place if you’re looking for great desert.

This is my 3rd birthday cake from Patty’s Cakes and I am NEVER disappointed!
It first started with my love for cupcakes and being hooked on those! Then when my birthday would come around (which comes around so fast!) I decided to order a cake from then and ever since then it’s been amazing!
Physically, I haven’t been to their new location since they moved but when I dealt with them at their other location the customer service has always been great! They take their time not rushing you no matter how big or small your order is, you being satisfied is their #1 priority! This year I turned 25 and my sister surprised me with a Trolls themed birthday cake and it was
AMAZING! First off, the fact she did all of this on her own blew me away and picked everything out on the cake was perfect!
Their cakes are just as good if not better than my first time trying them in 2012! A cake can look pretty on the outside all day long but if it tastes nasty then the appearance means nothing! Patty’s Cakes look and taste great! They deliver on the taste and the appearance, my sister picked the perfect color to match the picture and the cake was edged with confetti sprinkles around the entire cake! The inside filling was delicious! I’ve always loved Patty’s Cakes whipped cream filling! I hate icing especially when it’s thick and piled on all over the cake! It can make the cake taste gritty and artificial! My sister went for a fresh fruit filling which is the way to go!
The fresh strawberry filling goes so well with the whipped cream it makes the cake taste so light and fluffy! I can truly say that Patty’s Cakes has been consistent since day one and they’ve stayed that way, not cutting on quality just because they’ve expanded and more popular unlike most places that do that when they make it “big”. I absolutely loved my birthday cake! Thank you, Patty’s Cakes for another wonderful birthday cake!!

I think the cupcakes are pretty good! They are not huge but are a decent price for $3. Buy three get one free with Yelp is great! The menu ordering process is confusing with various combinations and options. I like straightforward, just order what it is. But I will certainly be back.

I bought 14 cupcakes for my family on Valentine’s Day and everyone loved them! The cakes were very moist and the flavors were all good! The ladies working there were very nice…and OMG…they have Thrifty’s ice cream. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any because we had yet to eat dinner, but we will definitely come back to place for more cupcakes and eat ice cream. The place itself is very pink and cute. Last but not least…I love the fact that we can order on-line.

I went here on Valentine’s Day to pick up some cupcakes after dinner (in the hopes they didn’t sell out already!). I ordered 2 Red Velvet cupcakes (to which they added heart sprinkles, nice touch) and was very satisfied, especially given the reasonable price. Inside the cupcake had an additional filling, which was a sweet surprise! Will definitely be coming back for another round!

I bought a custom made cake for my baby shower. I sent them a picture of what I wanted the cake to look like and they called me back very quickly and let me know that the picture I sent shows a cake made of fondant and that they don’t use fondant because they want their customers to actually eat the cake. I understood and asked them to make whatever judgment they felt they needed to. Boy did my guests LOVE the cake!! I got so many compliments about how great the cake looked and how it tasted. Even people who normally didn’t eat cake kept wanting seconds. It had a light, airy taste. It was soft and fluffy and didn’t have an overwhelming sugary taste. The cream was light too (normally I would avoid eating the cream, but theirs was so good! Not too overwhelming). You could eat seconds and thirds without feeling sick afterward. And the price was reasonable too! I am so glad I chose to use Patty’s for my custom cake. The customer service is great too! Great experience.

We came here on a whim after eating next door and we were so glad we did. We ordered the Elvis cupcake based on the reviews here and we were not disappointed. The cupcake was moist and delicious. My husband doesn’t usually like cupcakes, especially ones that have something unique like candied bacon on top, but he liked this one because it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. We’ve also had Sprinkles cupcakes many times before but always felt that the cake part is dense and tasteless. The cupcake wouldn’t be good without the frosting. However, the cake part of the Elvis was great on its own, even without the frosting. But it tastes much better with the frosting. The cake was light and fluffy, not dense at all. We will definitely be coming to try more cupcakes here!

I recently ordered some cupcakes online and mentioned in the comment section that the order was for my daughter who is at college in Fullerton and this is her first birthday away from home. I highly recommend Patty’s Cakes! They came highly recommended from Orange Hill Restaurant where our reception was held and they did not disappoint. Our wedding cake looked and tasted amazing. Phillip worked with us to design the perfect wedding cake. I recommend the white cake with Bavarian custard (vanilla) and raspberry filling (although everything we tried at the tasting was really good). Once again, Patty’s came through for our family, specifically for my daughter’s 5th birthday cake. Nothing but compliments on how beautiful and delicious the cake was. We only had a little bit leftover, and we were able to polish that off fairly quickly.
My wife picked up one of their small ready made cakes to go for my 40th birthday, and that was pretty good as well.
My only gripe is that the parking in their new location isn’t as convenient as their old one, but a small price to pay for such an improvement in their storefront and upgraded size to their bakery.

This review is a few months overdue but well deserved.
We came across Patty’s when I was in a frantic search for our wedding cake this past October. Three weeks out I realized we had no cake! My first thought was… eh, we don’t need one…but my gut said…wait..you never pass up a cake, what are you thinking?
So after countless inquiries with other bakeries that wanted to charge us our first born (understandably so, we were down to the wire) or who just wouldn’t./couldn’t take our order, I came across Patty’s. Our reception was in Uptown Whittier and they are in Fullerton, I thought it would be a bit of a stretch but they told us they can do it.
I had never heard of them, seen them, knew anyone that used them….I put my trust in Yelp (as I have many times before) and was not let down.
I didn’t have time to visit, I never even called them…I did everything via email and was able to pay on their website. It really did make the whole process very convenient if you’re not necessarily close or just can’t fit it in..or are last minute…like me.
I dealt with Bethany and although I never met her or spoke to her, her tone in emails was very sweet and she had many great suggestions for a cake style/preference we wanted to go with all while keeping us under budget…because let’s face it..when you’re 3 weeks away from your wedding…you’ve pretty much spent every penny…and then some!
Our venue offered a faux cake, so we only needed a 6×6 square top to cut into, we ordered red velvet with the traditional cream cheese frosting. NOTE: They do something special with their frosting…but trust me when I tell you that it’s good! We also order 2 sheet cakes, 1 chocolate cake with vanilla Bavarian cream and the other vanilla cake with raspberry Bavarian cream.
I knew we lucked out when a gal pal of mine was in the area and stopped in to pick up a few cupcakes and brought them over….we had a mini cake tasting per say and we were very satisfied with what we had. My favorite part is that nothing was overly sweet. Just right. The cake was moist and fluffy and the frosting was so light and airy.
I must recommend Patty’s because they’re customer service was just top notch and the cake was more than what I expected.

I have been searching for gluten free pastries for a long time and I am so happy that I found Patty’s Cakes. I had both the chocolate and vanilla cakes with a variety of frosting flavors and every single one was delicious! Even my husband, who doesn’t usually like my GF stuff, loved them too!
