After seeing this shop on my new work commute, I was finally able to stop by once they opened. So far I’ve been there two straight days out of a possible two days. Their cupcakes are great! I really like that the cake is light, flavorful and moist. The icing is always freshly applied and varies in texture based on the flavor. Anything with a mousse icing is so good. So far my favorites are the Elvis me the double chocolate. If I have one critique, it’s that their red velvet lacks color and flavor. Definitely had better red velvet cupcakes before. Service is great and they have a lot of gluten free options. I highly recommend Patty’s Cakes.

Tried Patty’s Cakes for the first time. Read a few of my friends’ posts on Facebook and had to try when I was in the area. The cupcakes were great!! My son and I had a great time choosing the type of cake and frosting flavor. What a great surprise to find a filling as well. Very moist cake and the flavor profiles were spot on. Love them!

I could not have been happier with my choice to hire this business for my wedding cake. This was the first thing my now husband and I checked off our list and we immediately knew this was the cake for us. The tasting was fun, free, and informative. Even though my husband and I have very different tastes in a cake, we were able to pick 2 flavors that we loved. Because we got our cake so early in advance, my numbers changed from the original request and just a few weeks before the wedding the staff was more than happy to accommodate to my needs. We got a 3 tier cake that consisted of lemon cake with raspberry filling and banana cake filled with pineapple and strawberry. Amazing!
I have never been to a wedding where the guests rave so much about the cake. So many friends and family complimented us even weeks later about how amazing the cake was.
I would definitely recommend for any occasion, even if it’s just a sweet tooth craving.

Excellent cake! Loved the frosting. Patty’s cakes were offered through our reception venue as part of a package, so it was a no-brainer. But rarely does a freebie turn out to be so good! We got the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Perfect combination. Philip made the tasting fun. My husband is really excited that we get to eat a fresh cake on our 1 year anniversary instead of something that’s been in the freezer for a year.

We hired patty’s cakes to make our wedding cake in September. Throughout the wedding planning, the cake was one of the worse things I had luck with. I had heard about Patty’s through the venues bridal expo. We called and they were half the price of what another bakery quoted me. So we went a tasting and were SOLD! Patty and her team were so nice and communicative through the planning process. I was so happy how the cake came out and the guests really liked it as well! I had sent her a picture of the invite to match the cake the theme and they had decorated it perfectly! We would definitely recommend patty’s cakes! I will certainly use them again for another occasion. Thanks, Patty!!

My wedding cake was the hit of the party! I’m super picky with my cakes, and this cake topped every cake I’ve tried.
I chose a white cake, with a raspberry bavarian cream. The top tier was a lemon cake, and my husband couldn’t say enough of it (and he does not have a sweet tooth at all).
I got a lot of great feedback from my guests, and would absolutely recommend Patty’s Cakes!

The cake we ordered for our wedding from Patty’s Cakes was soooo delicious!!!! We have already recommended them to many of our friends and family members. We will definitely be returning customers. The frosting was light and fluffy, not too rich which is how we like it. The cake itself was super moist. My favorite was the banana cake with bavarian filling :) Love love love Patty’s cakes!!!!!

Patty’s cupcakes are seriously the BEST! I love that their frosting is perfectly sweet unlike many of the other cupcake bakeries I’ve tried. The cupcakes here are super moist and flavorful. I get custom cupcakes when I come here because I like trying different flavor combinations. I could eat these cupcakes everyday…not even kidding. The service is great too. I just placed an order for a custom anniversary cake for my parents and I’m sure that it’ll be delicious too. Bethany helped my mom and I pick out the cake and she was so helpful and kind. We were referred to Patty’s Cakes through the OC Mining Company. They made everything super easy! Our applesauce spice cake was delicious. The frosting they use it out of this world. My sister used Patty’s cakes when she got married in 2013 and her lemon cake was to die for! Naturally, I decided to go with Patty’s for my wedding also because her cakes are not only amazing to look at but the taste is incredible! We went with the lemon with a raspberry and Bavarian cream filling for 2 of the layers and a chocolate with chocolate- chip filling for the other layer. I must say I’m not a fan of chocolate cake at all… but that was the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had. It was light and fluffy and the flavor wasn’t super overpowering like some chocolates are. Not only did our wedding cake taste amazing it was beautiful as well! When my husband and I met with patty for our tasting I wasn’t really sure what direction I wanted to go in. I had pictures of many different cakes and I liked different parts of each one. Patty really helped me narrow down exactly what I was looking for without over doing it. I was very happy with how our cake turned out and all of our guests still tell me how much they enjoyed our cake.

Great cakes, excellent customer service. Pricing was a lot cheaper than some of the shops we searched. Also, they matched the picture we found for our 3-tier wedding cake almost perfectly. It was a smooth, easy process to order from them as well. I recommend this shop to anyone in the local area. They also have the best cupcakes in many different flavors!

Patty cakes made our wedding cake, and it was AMAZING. They made the entire process so easy and everyone who helped us was friendly and helpful. The cake looked beautiful and looked just how we wanted it, and it was delicious! Many of our guests came up to me asking where we purchased our cake! Since our wedding, I have come to Patty’s Cakes to purchase cupcakes for parties. Everything I have eaten is so yummy! They do not disappoint. If you are getting married in Orange County, you will not go wrong with getting your cake from Patty’s. Patty’s Cakes was amazing to work with! Not only was the cake delicious, but the experience was excellent. We went to two other bakeries and from the very start of the tasting, Patty’s had the others beat. Phillip sat down with us and really talked us through the process of picking the cake, showing us actual examples and asking us the right questions: how many people? what do you like/dislike about a particular example? Etc. Seems like common sense, but the other bakeries gave us very minimal info as if cost were the only factor. Once we got to the actual tasting, we were sold. All of the cakes were moist and delicious, and we were allowed to try any of the icings. And to top it off, the pricing was extremely competitive. It came in under our budget and less than the other bakeries. Our tasting experience was so good that I sent my mother-in-law there to get desserts for our rehearsal dinner. We ended up with a three-tier cake, and all three flavors were AMAZING! Thank you, Patty’s!

Patty’s Cakes did an amazing job on my wedding cake! They were very accommodating for the requests I had made. I have an allergy to gluten. They were able to make the top tier of our cake gluten free and the rest was a normal cake. This was great for me because I was able to enjoy the cake but the rest of the guests did not have to eat gluten free cake. They also made gluten free cupcakes which made it easy for me to cut into for the cake cutting and leave the top tier looking amazing. I showed them a photo of a cake that I really liked and they were able to make the cake look exactly as I wanted it to look!

I haven’t been here personally but I work nearby and my bf decided to bring me a sweet one day. It was a Cakeball. I thought it was the sweetest thing of him. It was so good. I asked him where he got it and he said this place around the corner. So now and then he surprises me with a cake ball of a diff flavor! They are my favorite! Def come and check them out.

I stopped by their new location the other day…it’s dangerously close to home and I really wanted to try their cupcakes and see how good they are. I walked in and learned they ice the cupcakes once ordered. That’s nice so they’re fresh! I ordered the seasonal pumpkin cupcake and a red velvet cupcake. Both were super moist and the frosting was a delicious buttercream type. Red velvet can sometimes be dry but this one was not at all…good flavor! I’ll definitely return..maybe too much. I should probably walk there and it’ll cancel out the calories…right? Haha!

My favorite cake place!!! I always order my children’s B-Day cakes from here. Simply moist and delicious. Our favorite is cookies n creme filling on either a white or chocolate cake. Lots of gluten free choices as well. Oh and if you haven’t- you must try a cake ball!

I want to do a song and dance in the middle of Patty’s Cakes! After a horrible experience with a different cake place, Patty’s was absolutely incredible and accommodating.
I have Celiac, but my husband does not. We needed a wedding cake that would work for both of us, and Patty’s had it down. They did a free tasting where I tried the gluten free, and my husband tried the regular, both of which were SO delicious. We picked flavors and design super easily. Everything was included with our package from the Orange Mining Co, except for the berries on our cake, which were very affordable. They also let me bring in my own ribbon to put around the base of the cake!
We ended up going with a yellow cake with a chocolate mousse filling. They did the top tier gluten free, and the rest was regular. Five stars are not enough for the taste… I am still dreaming about that cake. The design also came out beautiful. The frosting was perfectly textured, the ribbon looked great, and the berries on top had edible glitter!
The cake is super moist and delicious. I never thought plain, yellow cake could be so tasty and flavorful. And the chocolate mousse… oh man. So light and yummy. Their frosting is also super light, whipped, and not heavy or greasy at all. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to take any home because we got married away from our home state, and I am still so sad about it!
Everyone I spoke to and worked with was super polite and helpful. I could not be happier with our experience!

I will preface this by saying I do not care for cake (mostly frosting) but the cake balls are absolutely amazing! They have become one of my favorite sweets. I do not know what kind of magic they add to their cake balls to make me like cake, but they can add as much as necessary.

It’s a small but cute shop with great cupcakes! I had the coconut one with pineapple filling and it was fantastic. The only drawback was that I wasn’t the biggest fan of the red velvet.
