Favorite bakery ever!!!

Favorite bakery EVER! They have so many flavors! My goal is to have a differed cupcake every time. Never been disappointed with their cupcakes and the cake they made for my friend’s birthday was phenomenal!

I was in need of some cupcakes for a friends birthday. Saw a shout-out to them on facebook by insider fullerton I believe. And I drive by it about everyday on my way to work. Decided to go in and check it out. They were going to be featured on the news the following day, so I figured it had to be good.

I checked in while I was there and received a free cupcake after buying 3. Unfortunately I did not get to try them as they were a gift. But my friend said they were amazing so I will most definitely go back and try for myself. I bought 4 red velvet, 2 with the chocolate chip cream cheese frosting and two with the regular cream cheese frosting.

When I go back I definitely want to try one of their lemon items (cake ball, or cupcake) and I believe it was called Elvis something.

I will be back =]

I read about this place yesterday on yelp and since it is right by my house i had to go check it out after work. I’m glad I did! The salted caramel frosting is heaven–I could eat a bucket of it! I also loved the smores cakeball–covered in chocolate and stuffed and topped with graham crackers and marshmellows–delicious! I The chambord frosting was good too–light and fluffy and flavorful. Although I liked the peanut butter frosting–again, light, not too thick–I didn’t care for the Elvis, maybe because I’m not crazy about banana. But I had to try it–it’s what got me to this site–i read the bacon- themed newsletter on yelp!

found this place on yelp to get my sick wife a red velvet cupcake which in my experience compared to other places i tried in santa monica and LA is an 8/10; but may be higher depending on personal preference, I like more of a cream cheese frosting this one seemed more whiped. Although the red velvet cake balls i had were 10/10 i have nothing to compare them to but wow that is quite a punch in a little package…well done

I learned about Patty’s Cakes from my nail gal/friend Tasha D! Wow I was so very impressed by not only the quality but the amazing friendly service by Phillip! I am hooked every 2 weeks when I go get my nails done I treat myself and Tasha to there famous cake balls. I highly recommend Patty’s Cakes for all your dessert needs!

I tried different types of cupcakes and 1 smores cake ball. My office staff and I enjoyed every bite. Sweet, simple, and moist. I enjoyed it so much I am ordering my engagement cake from Patty’s Cakes and Desserts. Friendly staff.

Patty’s cakes are as beautiful as they are delicious. I brought in several pictures and she did a great job in listening to what I wanted and creating the perfect design for our wedding. The frosting is light and a not-too-sweet topping to a wonderfully moist cake. Thanks Patty!

Blown away by the amazing cupcakes

Here’s how you do it at Patty’s Cakes…You go in, check-in using your yelp app, get excited b/c by checking in you get a free cupcake when you buy 3, wait for your turn, order the cupcakes (you get to pick the cake and the whipped topping), wait for them to make them (they cakes are pre-made, they just add the whipped topping while you wait), pay for the cupcakes, walk casually to your car, furiously shovel 2 cupcakes (the cakes are moist, light and fluffy, the topping, like the cake, is light, fluffy, generous and in short GENIUS) into your mouth.
After brushing the crumbs off your face and clothes, you go back in and order 2 more (to replace the 2 that “mysteriously (that’s right, MYSTERIOUSLY) disappeared) so that no one will be suspicious to why there are only 2 when there should be 4…

I can’t recommend enough the vanilla cupcake (or chocolate cake) with the Chambord topping… OMG… Cupcake heaven! The apple pie, the Elvis, the peanut butter topping, the chocolate topping… Dammit, everything is AMAZING!!! I want 2 cupcakes now… I mean, one… I want one cupcake now ;)

I love that this is a mom ‘n pop shop :) I love that their cupcakes blow me away EVERY time. The only thing that bums me out is the hours of operations. I work during their open hours and on my days off, I live 20 miles away :( Maybe they’ll have later hours in the near future :) Here’s to wishful thinking!

I can’t recommend this place enough. I love their cupcakes. If you go, can you pick me up a couple of them? Please?

i have never seen this place before and i was looking online for a place to buy nice cupcakes for an event and this place came up i tried it. It was some of the best cupcakes i have ever had. I also tried there cake balls and those were delicious. I love Patty’s Cakes and will go there every time i need cupcakes or cake balls.

I pass by this place so many times and finally went in. They were so nice and friendly, it was about closing time and 3 other people came rushing in afraid they were going to be closed, so I figured it must be popular. I love that they frost the cupcakes for you while you wait, so cute. I tried one of their lemon cake balls and it was so delicious!! I wish there cupcakes were a little bigger though, they are just standard bake sale size, I wish they were like a big bakery size to make they even more special. But still they are delicious!!

Wonderful experience buying cupcakes for a picnic dinner celebrating birthdays for friends. The cupcakes were fresh and fun. Unique flavors. Good service. The only hic-cup was not realizing that when you set the pick-up time, do not arrive earlier. When I say “fresh”, I mean fresh. Had to wait for them yummy treats to be frosted and I was only early by 1 hour.

People check this cake shop out! Ordered the bavarian custard and raspberry cake for my daughters first birthday party. My guest loved the cake and it was a big hit. The cake was super moist and the taste amazing. They were amazing to work with as well. Love them and will work with them again in the future.

Their Cupcakes are the best. I have gone in the bakery more then once and they have always been so nice and the cupcakes, and the cake balls are to die for. I love them so much that I had them make cupcakes for my little one’s 1st birthday and I am so happy that I did. They where the talk of the party for days!! The best part is Ms.Patty herself!! She is so nice and warm that you leave feeling like you have known her for years. I recommend this place to everyone!!! I will be coming back as along as their doors stay open!!!

Yummy cupcake. Moist, fluffy, chocolate cake. Rich, restrained sweet peanut butter creamy frosting. Very satisfying. Not too big. Just the right size for a good bit.

The staff were friendly and accomodating. I only wished that we could have tried the cake balls but they were all sold out.

Oh my gosh I think I have found the best most delicious bakery in California! Patty’s Cakes! Patty and Philip were super friendly and made everything with my wedding cake really easy for me. But WOW that cake! If you get a chance you have to get Patty’s Cakes to make for you a chocolate cake, coconut cake with pineapple cream cheese filling! To die for!

I came here about two weeks ago to buy my sister some cupcakes for her birthday. I ordered the Chocolate Chipper which are chocolate cupcakes with white frosting and a few pieces of chips on top drizzled with chocolate on top. While I was there I couldnt resist so I got a ball of cake (banana flavored) and it was really good and moist. Although it was $3 so I dont know if ill get one anytime soon lol. The cupcakes were great. Everyone loved them. The frosting was really good as well. It was too sweet or too plain.
Whenever I need more cupcakes this will be the place I would be getting them from again.

we’ve now had the extreme pleasure of devouring Patty’s baking efforts some 5-6 times now, and we have yet to be anything but overwhelmingly pleased. Always light, moist, and fresh, they were, without a doubt, worth the drive from San Clemente, traffic or not. Looking forward to Jamie’s wedding cake next summer, but I’m certain we’ll find a reason for another cake before then!

Patty’s Cakes is simply amazing. With such a cute place, friendly people who always seem to have a smile on their faces, and stellar cupcake creations that will transport you to a better place…what more could I want?

I’ve been here twice and have loved every cupcake I’ve tried. My favorite has to be the Elvis. I could probably eat a dozen of those. :) I also loved the Chocolate with Raspberry Chambord Mousse and the Butter Pecan. The cakes are moist, the frosting and fillings are fresh and delicious, and the decorations are adorable.

I’ve been on the hunt for a cupcake place for awhile, and all I can say is thank goodness for Yelp! I would’ve never found this place without those phenomenal reviews. I’ll definitely keep coming back anytime I have a craving for something sweet–which is definitely quite often. :)

I went into Patty’s cakes to order my Niece’s wedding topper cake. Patty the owner who I realized was actually one of my neighbor’s is a wonderful lady with a lot of carisma and makes you feel like part of her family, not to mention when she found out that it was my Birthday she presented me a cupcake flavor of my choice which I chose Red Velet and it was the most amazing cupcake ever!!!!
