Our Wedding Cake Experience Was Exceptional

Exceptional service and cake. I love, love, love Patty’s Cakes. From my very first interaction at the tasting appointment with Philip all the way to delivery of the cake on my wedding day, they delivered exceptional service. I am a very picky and detailed oriented person and I made several changes prior to the wedding and my every wish was accommodated. The most important detail of Patty Cakes is the taste of their cakes, they are awesome! Prior to the wedding, I bought many cupcakes for my family to try which they thoroughly enjoyed, especially the icing. On our wedding day my husband who really only likes white cake which was alternately layered and we end up cutting the chocolate cake and to my surprise, my husband said he liked the chocolate cake from Patty Cakes and it is the only place he would eat chocolate cake. Kudos to Patty Cakes, that is a huge compliment. The guests also ranted and raved about the cake as well. Thank you Pattys Cakes for being a huge part of our day.

My wife and I ordered our wedding cake from Patty’s Cakes solely based on internet reviews. We had a destination wedding in Anaheim and had no chances of going anywhere to taste cakes beforehand, but Patty’s did not disappoint. Maybe I’m biased because it was OUR wedding cake, but it was by far the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had.

My husband and I booked Patty’s Cakes to do a five-tier cake for our wedding this past June. Everything about our experience with Patty’s Cakes was great! My husband isn’t really into cake, so when we went cake tasting here he wasn’t exactly enthused…but everything changed once he had his first bite. As soon as he tasted Patty’s cakes, my husband was sold!
Patty’s Cakes creates moist, light, and flavorful cakes that aren’t overwhelmed with frosting. The ratio of their cakes is perfect…just enough of everything to make you savor every bite. The cake on the wedding day was beautiful! We enjoyed our wedding cake and our guests did too. The lemon cake with raspberry filling is so bomb! Definitely a must-try!

We ordered a custom cake from Patty’s for a small celebration, and we were so pleased with it! The ordering process was very simple and the customer service was excellent. The cake was beautiful (a simple white two-layered cake) and I LOVED that the frosting wasn’t too sweet! We ordered a marble cake with raspberry filling and it was perfectly moist and delicious. We will definitely order from Patty’s again.

Our Disney Themed Wedding Cupcakes Were Classy and Lively

Last year I had a Disney themed wedding and had about 100 guests including many kids. We wanted something classy but lively and fun instead of a big wedding cake, and Patty’s Cupcakes had just what we were looking for! Filling out an inquiry for a wedding cake was simple and easy. During the wedding planning I had moved away to to Northern CA but keeping in touch with Christina and Philip to work out the details was no problem.

We requested a small single tier cake big enough for the wedding party while the guests had an assortment of flavors and sizes to choose from the Cupcake tower and Cakeball trays. It worked out perfectly and best of all everything tasted GREAT! The light mousse icing they use makes everything taste light and sweet without the sugary texture and taste typical cake icings do.

All of the staff was friendly and helpful. They delivered and set up the dessert table on time at the venue in Laguna Beach. We only had to return the cupcake tower that same week that they let us rent. I highly recommend!

We had Patty’s Cakes for our wedding on February 2, 2019. I was cake hunting to find a cake for our wedding that was simple and affordable. Right when I walked in and started seeing pictures, for some reason I knew they would be the one. I was very adamant in looking somewhere else as I need exactly what I’m looking for. They had it all: simple, affordable, and close by. We were greeted by the son of the owner, Philip. He was very nice and helpful, he went ahead and gave us samples and sure enough, I found the right one. I got a 3 tiered white cake with very little design, rented the gold stand with it, and spent the amount I was originally thinking. I even was charged very cheaply for my delivery considering it’s all the way in LA. My husband and I were so happy during the wedding and got numerous compliments due to it not being traditional flavor and just right. We got banana cake with Bavarian cream and whipped topping just the way we like it. Thank you again for the dream cake!

My cousins a florist so as you can see, the cake was simple but the flowers made it more extravagant!

Patty’s Cakes did amazing for our wedding in Feb. 2019! We had our consultation with Philip and he was very thorough in explaining how everything worked and going above and beyond to help us design our dream cake! He even went to the extent of checking if they had any extra of our wedding color in ribbon for the bow on the cake and they did! All in all the cake looked gorgeous and tasted amazing, hands down the best cake we have ever had, and all our guests loved it too, we didn’t have any leftovers! (We got banana cake with Bavarian filling, amazing combination!) I highly recommend Patty’s Cakes for your wedding, anniversary, birthday, or just to stop by and get a cupcake or cake balls, you won’t regret it.

We had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in. The staff was very sweet, friendly and told us all about the available deals. She offered us samples of a cookie. Parking is a bit tough, we parked in the neighborhood. It was an easy, short walk though. The cupcakes and cake balls we got were amazing. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. I found Patty’s cakes online years ago and I knew whenever I got married they would make my wedding cake! My now-husband and I did our cake tasting in March for our September wedding. It was busy that day, so we got to do our tasting in their private room, and we felt like VIPs. Philip was very friendly and helpful in determining the perfect cake size for our guest count. We fell in love with their banana flavored cake! It was so delicious and different from your typical cake flavor. Our cake was banana with vanilla bavarian custard and chocolate fudge. Our guests loved the cake! Per our request, they even added Mickey’s to the cake. Sooo cute! They did an amazing job and our wedding cake was perfect. Thank you so much!

Ordered a 3 tiered lemon wedding cake with raspberry and cream filling, along with a matching sheet cake for my daughter’s Newland Barn wedding. Amazing customer service, great prices, great delivery service, and the cake was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Order more than a cake estimator suggests because it is so good, EVERYONE WILL EAT SECONDS. We ordered enough for 150 people..we had to start cutting the pieces thinner and thinner because people kept coming back for more. Only the top of the wedding cake that we saved for the bride and groom was left. The entire cake was eaten by guests. First wedding I’ve been to where there was no leftover cake. Highly recommend Patty’s Cakes for wedding cakes.

Patty’s Cakes was a wonderful business to work with as we were picking our wedding cake. At the tasting, they were very patient and kind, offering advice on how best to achieve what we wanted and giving us plenty of time to talk and decide. We went with a 6″ round cake and cupcake tower and could not have been happier at how they turned out. Even better though was the state of the cake after the wedding. Due to transport issues, it was frozen and defrosted several times before we actually got around to eating it, but when we did, you could not have guessed that it had even seen the inside of a freezer. It was just as sweet and moist as the day it was baked.

So often when I see rave reviews I’m disappointed when I actually visit the place myself. Not so with Patty’s!

In an age where so many companies charge so much for the little things they sell that make us happy, I was so pleasantly surprised by Patty’s fair prices–especially considering it’s exceptional offerings and level of service.

Oh, and the options…so much fun! I love how they don’t put the toppings on until you order, so they’re fresh and elegant.

I also love it when I feel that the owners & employees are having fun and being creative. That’s the vibe I get here.

I bought half a dozen creative cupcakes for the children of a family I was visiting. Yes, the kids loved them. But you should have seen the way the dad opened the box and stared at them in happy shock, and the way the grandmother took her phone out to take pictures! Roles were reversed on account of just how fun and awesome these cupcakes were!

Keep up the excellent work and care for your customers!

I went to Patty’s Cupcakes and took advantage of their buy 3 get one free with check-in. Upon arriving a staff greeted us in a friendly manner and took my order. Got 2 red velvets, 1 lemon raspberry, and 1 chocolate with chocolate frosting per the staff’s recommendation of best selling flavors.

The red velvet cake had a good flavor and texture, it was soft and moist but the cream cheese frosting, although light and fluffy and not too sweet, was underwhelming in the cream cheese flavor. Overall good, but I still prefer Sprinkles.
The raspberry lemon was good but a bit sweet due to the raspberry jam.
The chocolate was a pass for me. I did not enjoy the frosting.
The cakes are moist and have good taste, staff helpful and friendly, and prices were a few cents less expensive than other bakeries. They also have cute, small cakes you can pick up (if available) but I would pre-order in advance.

Great start to finish. I loved my tasting experience at Patty’s cakes. They have a cute room that also has mock sizes of tiered cakes and even what size a slice of cake is considered so you know exactly what you’re paying for which I greatly appreciated. The cake was delicious and she even let us do two layers of flavors. One for the bride and one for the groom…how awesome.

Lastly, she let me put down a deposit while I decided what exact sizing I needed for my event. This deposit secured that I will have a cake on my wedding day…I loved this flexibility.

Lastly, my cake tasted great and looked beautiful. I had my florist make some floral accent pieces and I was so happy with my cake. I would recommend Patty’s Cakes to anyone. I was very pleased!

Thank you, Patty’s, for saving Nana’s birthday (and my a$$ for being so last minute!). I was in a pinch and needed a birthday cake to be delivered to Nana’s house for a family birthday dinner we were having. Patty’s not only came through with their timely delivery, but the cake was an absolute hit with the entire family!

The whipped frosting dusted with crushed chocolate cookies had a beautiful light texture that complimented the very moist chocolate cake itself. The chocolate chip mousse was light and not too sweet, so every bite was very enjoyable.

I would most definitely order from Patty’s again in the future. And if you’re unable to make the run to pick up your cake, do yourself a favor and pay for the delivery fee! Save your time and sanity – we need more of that these days ;)

A co-worker had a sampler box delivered to the office as a mid-week pick-me-up. I’m picky about my cupcakes because I bake mine from scratch. But wow, was I pleased as punch. The variety, texture, and flavors were super on point. I loved the lemon razzle cupcake (the filling and mousse was phenom). I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write a review for Patty’s Cakes. My wife and I had our wedding cake made through Patty and couldn’t be happier. The cake itself looked beautiful and all of our guests raved at how delicious it was.

We’ve followed up our wedding cake by frequenting Patty’s Cakes for our special occasion needs (and whenever we have a craving for cupcakes).

I’m someone who isn’t a HUGE fan of desserts as I find most places really over sweeten their products. However, with the cakes at Patty’s, you can tell there is a true “craft” to how the cakes are prepared. They’re moist and actually taste like vanilla or chocolate (rather than pure sugar). The mousse has actual premium ingredients rather than artificial flavoring.

The online ordering system is extremely convenient and makes things efficient when you get the chance to plan ahead.
