So they just opened up this place across the street from my office that I’ve been working at for the last 20 years and their cupcakes are delicious (bonus for me I have employees that bring me one every once in a while). I think I’ve had their chocolate with vanilla mousse, and one that had a raspberry filling, and they were delicious.

My husband and I used Patty’s Cakes for our wedding cake and we were so pleased. They were so easy to work with and did exactly what we wanted for a great price. For weeks leading up to our wedding, I was looking forward to the cake and it did not disappoint. So many of our guests complimented us on how great the cake looked and tasted. Needed a cake for my son’s 19th birthday celebration. Was originally going to grab one at Stater Brother’s but they did not have a bakery at the one we went to. Immediately checked Yelp for options and this place was a block away. Got the chocolate cake that was already prepared, had them write Happy Birthday, and were on our way. The cake was amazing! I stopped by Patty’s Cakes wanting to get a dozen cupcakes for a special occasion that night. They had 48 different kinds, plus some flavors can be made gluten-free. Even though it was almost closing time, I was able to select the cupcakes and they topped and decorated them right away. They were not only beautiful, but everybody thought these cupcakes were DELICIOUS! Some of the favorites were the Peanut Butter and Jelly, Pina Colada, Lemon Razzle, and gluten-free Chocolate with Chocolate Chip Mousse. They also have cakes and cookies. A place to definitely go back to!

I got the Lemon Razzle and Red Velvet w/ Cream Cheese Mousse Cupcakes. They were both to die for!! The lemon filling with the raspberry jam in the Lemon Razzle cupcake really complimented the Vanilla mousse on top. All of these flavors made my taste buds go wild! The cream cheese mousse on top of the Red Velvet cupcake was really smooth. It also wasn’t too sweet and the flavor wasn’t too overpowering. It was perfect!! This is why I recommend getting these flavors and why I gave Patty’s Cakes five stars.

We used Patty’s Cakes for our wedding reception in November of 2016. She met with us personally for a consultation on what we would like our cake to be and helped guide us through the decision of what flavors we wanted. We ended up deciding on a white/chocolate marble cake with vanilla Bavarian custard – it was absolutely delicious. Being more of a cake person than any other kind of dessert, it was very important to me for our wedding to have the perfect cake. With Patty’s Cakes, we had just that. The cake looked beautiful, but most of all, it tasted amazing! We found Patty’s Cakes through our venue’s preferred vendor list. The venue had a mini bridal show where we were able to taste-test a few cake places; however, the taste of Patty’s Cakes stood out among the rest. And I was also happy to learn that they do not have fondant on their cakes because no one wants to eat that. Before my (then) fiancé even knew it, I had already made my cake vendor decision right there. We scheduled to meet with Philip at their shop in Fullerton to try more flavor combinations and discuss design. He was very accommodating with our work schedules in planning this meeting, which we very much appreciated. My groom already knew what he wanted his flavor to be – red velvet with cream cheese mousse, but I had a hard time deciding our second flavor because everything tasted so delicious. I chose a white cake with strawberry mousse. As for the design of the cake, I had shown Philip images from my Pinterest and he was able to draw a mock-up of the 4-tiered cake with a hand-piped geometric design. On the day of our wedding, I was in awe of how gorgeous the cake turned out. The detailing was impeccable. But again, most important, the cake tasted sensational. Many of our ~250 guests told us how much they loved our cake, which I was extremely happy to hear. I go for the frosting! They put it on right when you order, so it’s still soft and creamy, unlike other places where it hardens a bit. And everyone is always so sweet. Maybe it’s the cupcakes.

Look no further brides and grooms! I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful Patty and all of her staff are. Some of the best customer service we experienced while planning our wedding. This was the first and only cake tasting we did, and we were immediately sold.
We loved that she gave us the option of doing two different flavors on each tier, but we loved the standard white cake too much. She suggested doing half of it with the confetti cake (same flavor as white) to make it a little more fun. We did two layers of filling, cream cheese, and Bavarian cream.
My husband can’t stand fondant, so the fact that they are a fondant free bakery was an added bonus. I’m normally not a fan of cake icing, but their whipped cream icing is honestly some of the best I’ve ever tasted. We received so many compliments on our cake!
The cherry on top is the affordable pricing. We couldn’t believe what some of these bakeries charge, but they really put us at ease at a time that we had to throw lots of cash in so many directions. We are so grateful to have found Patty!

Banana cake.
I wanted to start off with that because their banana cake was heavenly. Even my now husband who usually doesn’t like banana-flavored pastries liked it! The cake was so moist and fluffy while the fillings (custard and raspberry) added that extra oomph if you get what I’m saying. I’m sure this was a tad strange combination but my husband liked the tarty flavor the raspberry filling added to the overall flavor of the cake. Their cream is SO GOOD. It’s the perfect amount of sweet! We got a semi-naked 3 tier cake for our wedding and it came out great! Philip was so helpful and accommodating when we were deciding what to get. He told us that the cake could be a little dry since the nature of a semi-naked cake allows it to be exposed more leading to drying out but I didn’t notice it at all!
Besides the UH-MAZING cake, the whole process of ordering the cake was a breeze. Philip is extremely helpful and you can tell he knows what he’s doing. He made sure we would have the right amount of cake and they also adjust the size of your sheet cake as your guest list gets finalized. The prices were reasonable and totally worth the cake.

Holy cow. I’m so happy that I live nowhere near Fullerton, otherwise, I’d be here on a weekly basis. We needed to gift somebody in the area with a sweet treat so Yelp directed us here. After coming inside and seeing all the options we ended up getting ourselves some cupcakes as well. I ordered the banana one and it was amazing. My husband got the lemon drop cupcake, which was also good. They were really helpful and nice, and make some dang good cupcakes.

Fantastic cupcakes! One of the few places that have reasonably priced mini cupcakes. We were doing a large order and the service and bulk discount were fantastic. For the minis, we bought the Neapolitan, which the kids loved. When placing the order I bought a variety of full-size cupcakes since I had never been before, the Elvis cupcake was unique and delicious.

I visited the new location, it’s much bigger and the decor is cute, the one downfall is parking … there is none! It’s just street parking down a street.
They offer all their cupcake flavors daily which is great. There’s a chart for you to skim over to check out the flavors. They also have Thrifty’s ice cream, cookies, cake balls, and bag-o-cake. They have cakes for you to take home or you can custom order a cake.
I decided to pick up a cake ball, I tried the s’mores and it was the best !! Gooey chocolate flavor! I also picked up a Banana split cupcake which had strawberry frosting banana cake and pineapple filling. The cupcake was pretty good I just wish there wasn’t as much cake as frosting. I ran out of cake and had so much frosting left. I kinda like an even amount. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying some more flavors and get some more cake balls!!

We went with Patty’s Cakes for our wedding and it was amazing! We asked for a 4 tier mint and chip mouse with chocolate cake and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. What I loved most is the fact I was able to incorporate my most favorite flavors into my wedding cake. It seemed a bit off to my family but when they tasted the lightness of the mousse and the way everything just worked together I received so many compliments on my cake! My review is long overdue as I was married a year ago but with having a baby and life I finally got around to it! Thank you so much Patty’s! Bought a box of four cupcakes for a thank you gift and they loved it. A mix of sweet chocolate, peanut butter, red velvet and lemon cupcakes. Love that they offer cupcakes with different cakes based and not just the usual chocolate, white and red velvet. Will definitely be coming again.
