Patty was amazing and very sweet. She understood our needs for a clean and simple wedding cake with some flair. We tried some yummy cupcakes and just loved the red velvet with raspberry/ cream cheese filing. Our cost for a two tier (50 ppl) was $220 plus a $40 delivery fee since we live closer to the 210 fwy. We were able to secure our cake with $100 deposit and took our left over samples home :) Overall good experience and would book future cakes (birthday, anniversary and such) Oh and you can get a free goody when you post a review on her website directly just go to the reviews section on the right upper corner.

I am so happy my mother and I decided to stop by pattys cakes today. We have read a lot of reviews on yelp and decided to stop by. Immediately we were helped by a really friendly girl, I believe her name was Stephanie. She gave us many suggestions on what we should try. She was completely right about the banana cake balls. They were delicious and better than anything I have ever tasted. We also purchased a coconut chocolate cupcake and a chocolate raspberry cupcake. I was so impressed by the customer service I decided right then to order my husbands birthday cake. I really wanted to add a dodger logo on it and Stephanie got right on the Internet to help us pick one out. The prices are great and the cupcakes even had a surprise light fluffy filling inside. I went down the street to wildflour cupcakes who are more expensive and pattys has them beat by a long shot. When I order a cupcake I want it to be something I know I can t make at home. Now I m really excited to pick up my husbands carrot cake with pineapple cream cheese filling. Thank you again Stephanie for all your help!

They are making my wedding cake for my wedding in 2 days so I will have to do another review after that experience but I an anticipating the best cake ever…they are the nicest people and their cake is DELICIOUS! I think I spent more time picking a wedding cake than any other element of the wedding….I was feeling really discouraged by the prices while shopping around and then extra discouraged when I tasted the expensive cake and it was horrible so when I walked into Patty’s and tasted the best cake in the history of ever I not only knew instantly that I had found my baker, I was blown away by their reasonable prices and outstanding customer service. I don’t spend money on myself often….bills and my kids with not a lot left over and I feel 100% confident that any money spent here is well spent both because of the quality of product and to support a great shop! Customer service like theirs is really a gem these days! I don’t usually even care for cake but I am SO excited for our guests to dive into our wedding cake because the tasting was literally the most delightful cake I have ever tasted

I’m on the hunt for the best cupcake place in Orange County since I developed a cupcake craving during pregnancy that has yet to go away. I have a clear favorite, but it’s way too far to drive to on a whim. Therefore I started searching closer to home and found Patty’s Cakes. On a lazy afternoon, I headed over, and I was completely thrown off by the location. It’s in a strip mall in an industrial part of town, and it’s randomly on the side of everything next to a dry cleaners. Admittedly, I waited in the car with the baby to decide if I really wanted a cupcake. I decided I really did. Upon entering, I was greeted by a very nice lady but surprisingly no cupcakes. Turns out you order off a menu and they are essentially frosted to order. This was a neat idea, so I bought 4. I just ate the salted caramel cupcake and OH MY GOD it was AMAZING! I was hesitant because the frosting is NOT buttercream and I rarely like no -buttercream frosting. What I got instead was a chocolate fudge/mousse-like frosting and plenty of it with salted caramel melted on top. Delicious! The cake was moist and super soft (not dense) which I loved. I will now be recommending this place to all my mommy friends (who seem to share a similar craving). The only reason why I didn’t give five stars is for the odd location. Otherwise, I recommend this place hands down. Yum.

I went to Patty’s Cakes in a bit of desperation for my April wedding- My fiance had asked a friend of his (who to be fair had done a few wedding cakes before) to do our cake, and she agreed…then totally flaked. She was even going out of state the day of our wedding and didn’t tell us! So with less than three weeks to go I just called up the cake place I had seen coming home from work sometimes, knowing nothing about it and fully aware that they may not be able to take us anyway. Thank God, the stars were aligned. Not only were they able to fit us in and schedule a tasting straight away, but then I was able to see all the great reviews- and they really do equal them. I was surprised at first to find out they were a fondant-free bakery (you just kind of assume that a wedding cake is going to have that fondant look) but Patty told us that while fondant may give a nice look, it doesn’t have a good taste and often leads to the cake inside becoming stale. You sacrifice taste for looks, and at Patty’s, taste is a priority. Well I had no problems with that argument, and two weeks later she delivered our stunning raspberry and custard cake to the venue, complete with real purple hydrangeas we had supplied as decoration. It had turned out even better than I thought it would, and after all of the stress leading up to it, it was so *so* nice to get such a lovely product. It really did taste amazing too, and I would certainly recommend them.

Came in to taste cupcakes and cake balls. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was awesome. Not overpowering with sweetness and moist. The lemon cake ball was good, but by far would recommend the cupcakes. Also their customer service rocks. While in here there was a misunderstanding with a client.. Philip a worker handled and diffused the situation… client walked away satisfied. Would highly recommend this place.

My client had his 71st first birthday coming up and I had NO idea what to get him until my mother-in-law suggested a treat of some kind. I typed “treat, Fullerton” into Google and up came Patty’s Cakes.
I went to their beautiful website and learned that it’s best that you call ahead for more than six cupcakes in an order, so I did.
The lady that answered that phone was very nice and said she’s have my 18 cupcake order ready within the hour. When I arrived I explained to the lady (turns out it was Patty herself – talk about service!) behind the counter that I was worried that showing up with 18 cupcakes might be weird. The bakers box was probably the same size as and the six cupcakes would be rolling around and look cheezy; There are exactly 9 people that work in my clients office and I didn’t want anyone to feel left out. She explained that they had a different sized box that had a cardboard insert in it, she showed it to me and the cupcakes looked like they were on a little stage!
The cupcakes were just gorgeous little delights, so I ordered an extra one for my mother-in-law and my husband too! Another lady came out when a customer came in and asked me if I wanted a ribbon on the box (at no extra charge – UNHEARD of!!) she put a cupcake themed ribbon on the big box and a dark blue ribbon on the 6 pack. As she was wrapping the smaller box she said she would bring it out when she finished as I loaded the other in my car. I was too fast and when I got back in I heard the other customer say that it was their first time. I looked at Patty and the other lady and explained that it was my first time too. They were surprised as I called in the order and seemed like I had been there before. (I am pretty shy and they both made me feel so comfortable and welcome I felt like I had been there before too!) Patty’s assistant took both my hands in her’s and looked me in the eye as she said “Welcome and thank you for choosing us to be a part of this special celebration”.
I can’t rave enough about this place and how much everyone LOVED the cupcakes. My client said he had never had better!
Thank you Patty, for making me look good and giving my client a taste of just how important he is to me!
I will be back because I never did get a cupcake for myself, too many choices!

Patty’s Cakes was phenomenal! We had cupcakes, a small cake for us to cut, and a surprise groom’s cake. They set everything out and made our cake table look just beautiful. And we could not have been happier with the quality and taste. Their cakes are light and fluffy and not too sweet – just perfect and everyone LOVED the cupcakes. We offered three flavors – red velvet, vanilla, and chocolate. We didn’t have much leftover, but what we did we ate for like a week afterward! and it was still good!! We will definitely use Patty’s again and I highly recommend them. For our one year anniversary we will get our cake from Patty’s to celebrate!

My husband researched and found Patty’s cakes. He got 20 cupcakes of variety flavors for my birthday. The decorations are very nice and price is average, not pricey. All their cupcakes have cream/frosty in the middle of the cupcake. I think this is their specialty. Their cream/frosty is definitely different from other places and worth a try. It’s not sweet and very creamy. My favorites have to be the lemon and banana. Red velvet is decent as well. There is a cupcake with bacon on top of the frosty. I wish I had a chance to try it but my friend that ate that one said it had a taste of banana with bacon on top. I would definitely come back and recommend this place.

I was making a wedding cake for my nephew and now niece, but as I live in LA and the wedding was in Anaheim, I needed “backup” – that is, two half-sheet cakes to make up for what I had no room in my home refrigerators or the venue.
I went to Patty’s about 5 weeks before the wedding, and Bethany could not have been nicer or more helpful. She understood exactly what I needed and was extremely professional and kind about ordering the cakes to my exact specifications (devil’s food cake, chocolate mousse and raspberry jam filling, and white mousse icing with no decoration and just beading on the edges). Their prices are very fair, they deliver for a modest fee (and deliver promptly as promised), and they are altogether the best and most professional bakery I’ve worked with in a long time – in or out of Orange County.
Oh yeah – the cakes were delicious too (in fact, I’m sort sorry I didn’t just let them make the entire cake – would have been much easier on me!). Patty’s is a gem, and a must for anyone looking for a great celebration cake. Thanks so much to Patty’s and their great staff!

Went in here today before work, as they were having a buy one get one free cake ball sale. I ended up getting almost every flavor of cake ball, and also 5 cupcakes!! I gave some to a few co-workers and they all said they were great.
I think my favorite is the red velvet cake ball, definitely worth trying!
I gave my mom, who is one of the pickiest eaters, the banana cupcake and she said it was the best cupcake she has ever had! And ate the whole thing!

Is probably the best word to describe the flavor and service we received from Patty and Phillip! We decided to go Patty’s Cake & Desserts for our wedding cake!
I scheduled a meeting with Phillip, but unfortunately the timing was off. One Saturday on a whim I called again to see the availability for a meeting & tasting. Philip had nothing available and said he would call me if there was any cancellations that he could squeeze us in. (At this point I was getting nervous as our wedding day was fast approaching.) luckily Phillip called me back a day later with an opening that worked with our schedule. My fiancé(now husband) and I went to our appointment and was greeted immediately by Patty. She got straight to it, asking me details about my wedding. We started discussing design, size, look, height.. You name it she covered it. When it came time to taste the cakes she did not hold back. She made sure every flavor I considered, I tried. (I’m rather picky and indecisive, but that did not bother her one bit) after figuring it what flavor to with she started sketching out the design of our wedding cake. She definitely is good at what she does. (Both, baking and designing cakes). After finalizing everything we put our deposit and left.
Day of: August 3,2012
To be honest I was not worrying about them! With my other vendors I worried about them being punctual and to set up in the time given. But with Patty and Phillip, I knew I didn’t have to worry about them one bit!(based this off of the great connection I felt I made with them the night I met them). Sure enough Phillip delivered our cake ahead of schedule. I was extremely happy he was punctual considering their shop is in Fullerton and my wedding was in Laguna Beach in August! (Everyone knows that Laguna Beach in August is dead lock due to the sawdust festival) Phillip set up our cake and made sure the cake looked its best!
I could not have asked for better service from Patty, Phillip and the rest of the staff there! I felt extremely comfortable working with them! They played a huge role in making my wedding as special as it was! Since our wedding we have had patty do more cakes for us and still experienced the same level of service! If you’re looking for a vendor that’s prompt, honest, and genuine on top of having amazing cakes, Patty’s Cakes & Desserts is the place to go! They will NOT disappoint!

Patty’s Cakes was awesome! We met with Phillip during our consultation and all of their flavors were delicious. What we liked about this bakery was that they don’t use any fondant or butter cream. Their frosting is whipped and light and absolutely yummy. They have lots of fillings. I would recommend the raspberry with vanilla bavarian cream. We went for a simple, modern design with thin ribbon and it turned out fantastic. Patty and Phillip were very professional. We don’t live super close to the bakery but if we did, we would absolutely be there too frequently. :) We highly recommend!

I can finally say we’ve found it! Patty’s BLEW us out of the water! My fiance picked up a red velvet and a raspberry filled cupcake to go to bring to me. At first I was like, “Raspberry?!? You realize I don’t like raspberry filled anything, right?” IT ENDED UP BEING SOOOO GOOD! I was SO impressed by the texture and the taste of both cupcakes. They were moist and the frosting wasn’t too sweet at all. Just perfect. BEST tasting cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m SO happy I can now order these for my wedding guests.
In addition to the cupcakes being so delectable, I was also very happy to hear they offer gluten free AND a variety of cake options. I can have Patty make both our anniversary cake and our cupcakes AND offer a gluten-free option for the few guests that won’t be able to eat gluten! My fiance also said that Patty was very helpful and willing to work with us. Again, Patty’s is SO perfect.
We have yet to book our order, but we will get in contact with her soon. I’ll be sure to write a followup review after the wedding is over :)

My husband & I found out about Patty’s Cakes through our friends and have loved their cupcakes since. For our wedding, we ordered about 300 mini cupcakes for our dessert table and it was a hit! We asked one of the guy at Patty’s Cakes to save a dozen mini ones for my husband and I, and they reserved a box for us. Our wedding planner said that they delivered the cupcakes early, which made her very happy because she and her staff had plenty of time to put them on our dessert table. My favorite cupcakes are the Elvis, Red Velvet, the banana one (forgot what it’s called), and the chocolate ones. I loved all their flavors but those were my favorite! Thanks Patty’s Cakes and your wonderful and helpful staff!

I love Patty’s cupcakes! I stair at the menu for so long not being able to make up my mind, there are so many wonderful flavors to choose from! My favorites are: pina colada, red velvet, chocolate peanut butter, lemon, and fudge chocolate! I just ordered these flavors this week! Yummy! One year ago today I got married and Patty’s Cakes did an amazing job on my wedding cake. Half chocolate cake, half white cake, with coconut cream. AMAZING! I have some in my refrigerator right now defrosting for my anniversary dessert tonight. Can’t wait to experience the deliciousness again.
The whole process of working with Patty was smooth and easy. Tasting was fun and we were able to quickly make our decision about what we wanted. My dad had forgotten to call and pay the deposit, but Patty’s called to remind us and they were so sweet about it. The cake showed up on time and looked perfect on my wedding day. Thanks Patty!

Okay, so we were oh so very close to using them for our wedding cake a couple of years ago. Things fell through, and we went with someone else. Not Patty’s fault, I might add. I wish we had, because her cake was the most tasty of the ones that we tried, and we tried quite a few places.
But we still go back for cupcakes and cake pops, even though we live up in the SGV. They are just that good. I can’t say that I have a favorite, but I love the ‘Elvis’ and the chocolate with raspberry mousse. The cakes are moist, and the frosting is light. The only complaint I have is that the sea salt caramel frosting tends to slide off the cake. I the caramel is just too heavy (or is it too hot? it looks to melt the frosting, but I never eat it until I get home–45 minutes later).
The German-chocolate cake pop is my wife’s favorite. There just isn’t much to complain about. My last visit was last week, and I found them to be really moist–consistent with every other visit I’ve had.
Patty is very sweet, and helpful when I catch her. Most of her staff is also.
I can’t decide if I like this or Dots in Pasadena better.

The best tasting cakes and cupcakes hands down. I have not found any cakes or cupcakes that even come close in flavor and quality. Not to mention the service is above and beyond outstanding! Even when I have gone in just to buy a single cupcake (hard not to pop in when I drive by) I have been treated like I was their best customer. Every time I have called or come in I have been treated like gold. I love this place!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! CAKE BALLS!!!!!!!!!!! :) I found out about this bakery from one of my Mommy friends. Our kids go to school together. She raved about the Cake Balls. I was kinda rolling my eyes inside at her. She knows.. all my friends know. My family makes cakes. So if we do ever buy one…our family is super picky!

So after Mother’s Day Tea at the School. This was back in May…I decided to just stop in and get a few..I’m so glad I did!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THEM!! SMORES CAKE BALLS! My favorite! I can honestly say since that day in May we have been in at least 8 times or more! One of the reasons why I can’t seem to get back to my pre-kid weight! LOL! Ohhh well! So worth the Cake Balls! Kids have tried & love..The Chocolate Chip.Lemon…All Chocolate & Dad loves the Banana one! I will try a cake from here at some point! Maybe they can make me a Smore cake ball cake??

Ten years ago, Patty made the most beautiful wedding cake for our wedding day. I remember the cake like our wedding day was just a few days ago. Maybe that’s because it kind of like it was just a few days ago. I had never met Patty in person when she made the cake for our wedding and I did not know if she was still baking all these years later. So, when I found online that she had opened a bakery, I could barely contain my excitement because it was the first time I thought that the surprise I had dreamed of giving my husband for our 10-year anniversary could actually be feasible. A few weeks ago, I contacted Patty to ask for her help. My request was for her to recreate the top layer of our wedding cake. I explained to Patty how we were not able to enjoy the top layer of our cake on our 1-year anniversary because my brother-in-law had eaten it while we were on our honeymoon and she graciously agreed to help me. Her enthusiasm for the task made the experience even that much more exciting, worthwhile, and fulfilling for me. We talked by phone and communicated via email and each time I spoke with Patty I could feel her warm smile. When I picked up the cake this past weekend, Patty greeted me with a warm hug and she exuded a genuine joy and excitement for what she had helped me to accomplish as a surprise for my husband. Our “lost” top layer was beautiful and OMG! was it ever delicious!!! It was lemon cake with a tangy lemon filling and Patty had recreated the design/decoration from some photos of our original cake that I had emailed to her. It’s been a few days now and my husband still cannot get over what Patty and I accomplished together. It was the best surprise that I could have given him for our special day. I never got over the loss of the top layer to our cake until this past weekend. With Patty’s help, celebrating our first ten years together as husband and wife felt just as special as the first day we said “I do” all those years ago. Thank you Patty and thank you for baking the most yummy of cakes. I will never forget this experience or you. Patty is hands down the best baker ever!!!

Absolutely delicious! The customer service was fantastic and personable. Love the concept of sticking to what they know how to do, and creating terrific, delictable cakes!
