The Elvis is out-of-this-world awesome!

After my second visit to Patty’s Cakes I decided
to write a review. Both times I was greeted in a
warm fashion, this is kinda huge in my department
since customer service seems to be lacking these
days. I ordered some cupcakes for a girlfriend’s
birthday and they added a cute little Happy
Birthday pick on the cupcake!

The Elvis is out-of-this-world awesome!

The Red Velvet with Cream Cheese was moist and the
cream cheese frosting was perfect!

The cake balls were delicious and don’t taste like
the box and frosting recipe from Bakerella. (plus
these guys are the size of golf balls!)

This is officially my go to place for cupcakes and
desserts!

This morning I walked into Patty’s (in my pajamas) and received instant service with a smile even though I looked like a bum! Right from the flood gates that impressed me so kudos to the woman that helped me behind the counter. Being a first time customer I quickly noticed they had no display case for baked good purchases. She must have read my face because before I could say a word she explained how Patty’s works… you order they frost! What a great idea.

I ordered in total 7 cupcakes, and 4 cake balls. Let me start by saying I am a true buttercream girl. If you are looking for buttercream you will not find it here. What they do have are amazing cupcakes with a light and fluffy frosting. All 7 cupcakes were moist, fresh, and beautifull. I must say your p-nut butter frosting is absolutely hands down delicious (even without buttercream)! There was not even a smidgen of refrigerator/bakery case taste on any of my cupcakes, love it!
As Martha would say, “IT’s A GOOD THING”.

My sister and I went in to try out cupcakes. We were scouting some places for my upcoming birthday party and I have found the place! We got the Elvis, red velvet with cream cheese mousse, and the butter pecan. The cupcakes were all amazing! So moist and delicious. And they frost them to order. Deanna (I think that was her name?) told us we could mix and match cakes with frostings since they frost to order. Super cool! And the s’more cake ball was amazing too! Huge and delicious. Great prices for everything. Service is fantastic and the products are great. Location is not ideal, but we found it okay. Definitely will be back to order a dozen cupcakes for my upcoming party. Thanks Deanna and Bethany! You women are great!!! will be back soon!

Omg I wish I never found this quaint lil shop. (only kidding) Reason I said that was it is SOooooooooooooooo wonderfully delicious. I had the Smores, German choc. with almonds, and Red velvet cake balls and what a happy camper I was. Then I bought a Lemon drop cupcake and a Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse cupcake and I was in heaven all over again. You have to try this place. I am ordering my next Birthday cake there for sure. % Stars for sure

I stopped by to try a cupcake after seeing all the great reviews. Like others, I would have liked to see the cupcakes on display. That would have helped my ordering process. I ordered a chocolate for my son and red velvet cupcake for myself. They were very yummy. Moist, but not too sweet. The frosting was the best part. Light and fluffy, but not too sweet. I don’t know how they came up with the recipes, but they were excellent. I sometimes take the frosting off of cake because I find it too sweet or greasy, but not this. I think you could put it on anything and it would taste good. Each cupcake also had a little cream filling inside. Yum! The owner assured me that all cupcakes were made fresh daily and you can tell.

I also ordered a German chocolate cake ball to go. I ate it at home and it was absolutely incredible!! It was so moist and flavorful. Full of nuts and coconut. The BEST EVER!

I have to echo the sentiments of other reviewers regarding the space. The place was well-decorated, but small. I would have loved to have had a bigger space to try my yummy sweets. The strip mall has a lot of space so maybe they can build out soon. A cup of tea also would have been nice.

Can’t wait to go again. The service was nice and friendly.

I’m not a big sweets person. My niece brought me an “Elivis” cupcake from Pattys. I honestly have not had a dessert that good ever! I was so surprised I lived it that much.
The frosting was light but flavorful and the cake was moist and delicious. We are going back and are now loyal customers.
Their banana cake balls were amazing and a dozen would make a great gift!

We went here for our wedding cake because of the
positive reviews
We ordered a 3 tier round cake with white flavor
with rasberry/cream cheese filling.
We were married at the Summit House in Fullerton,
delivery was on time.
The cake was excellent. The flavor was better than
any white cake I have ever tasted before and I’m
not exaggerating

We sampled red velvet and chocolate but they
weren’t as good

The only thing I didn’t like is that even though I
paid by check in full for the cake, she still
makes you give a credit card for $25 deposit for
the cake pilar stands that you have to return
after your event, otherwise if you lose them or
don’t return them, then she charges your card

One of the best cupcakes I have tried!!! It was my
first time and the lady was friendly and
accommodating. I got salted caramel cupcake and
chocolate chip mousse cupcake! They are the bomb!

Scouting for A wedding baker!

Visited Patty’s Cakes while scouting for wedding baker. We didn’t schedule an appointment or anything, just walked in to get more info about orders & pricing.

Space was small. Storefront was probably about 8X11′ One display area, which is also cashier. No seating area really, you have a picnic table that can seat 3-4 for scheduled tasting. Display is mainly cake balls. cupcakes are in the back as you order to go/pickup.

We asked for info and was told that Patty would be best person to give us the stuffs. We waited about 5 minutes, Patty came out with full energy! She apologized for the wait, letting us know that she’s working on a cake for, I believe, Sunday morning. She apologized again that she won’t have much time to spend with us as she likes, but definitely can give us info.

Patty also offered some tastings for us. Gave us the pricing based on what we’re thinking. I ordered additional cake balls.

Patty gave us a demo mini chocolate cupcake to show how it would be dec up. She put some edible mini pearls and glitter on it really quick. So cute and pretty. We also had the regular-size banana cupcake, raspberry chambord, lemon, chocolate, and chocolate and coconut.

Cake balls: German Chocolate, banana, lemon.

They were all amazing! so good and fluffy! The cake balls we moist too. Banana cake ball was a bit sweet for me, but banana taste was, vivid. My favs were raspberry chambord, lemon on both cake ball & cupcake. The banana cupcake was very good too, but I like the cream on top better.

I have to admit that for those with regular frosting, there were a lot. So we just ate it without lol. The cupcakes themselves were good stuffs.

I appreciate Patty’s energy and attention, even though we didn’t have an appointment, we left the place really wanting to work with Patty for the wedding. The only problem is it’s further than the venue than I thought. Wedding is on Sunday, and they don’t deliver to the venue due to distance, so we’ll have to have someone pick it up. This is the only reason why I’m scouting for others that are closer.

If I’ll be in the area, definitely will park by Patty’s to visit and get some goodies.

What an awesome spot for a little treat of a cupcake!!

What an awesome spot for a little treat of a cupcake!! While it’s a tiny place/nowhere to sit. Take it to go and devour the softest, lightest but richest flavors you’ll ever taste. The inside has a cream center of all of them maybe? I had the Chocolate/Raspberry and oh my god was it tasty. They top it with a fresh raspberry over the vanilla(?) frosting which hides a layer of raspberry JAM. Pure heaven :)

Bottom line: The cupcakes are freakin ridiculous!

Service is kinda weird: you order from a menu and they bring it to you from the back (instead of having it on display) unless you’re ordering a cake ball which they do not have much of a selection. I pass off the weird ordering as tried and true because it seems to work for them.

I SWEAR every single time I’ve been here, some douchbag always parks ridiculously close to my car so I can barely get in, but that’s probably just my bad luck. FOLLOW THE PARKING LINES PEOPLE.

The free water looks so pretty but orange tainted water tastes a little weird.

BOTTOM LINE: the cupcakes are freakin ridiculous! absolutely delish! Banana anything (cake ball, cupcake), peanut (butter frosting, topping) anything, THE ELVIS, absolutely lovely.

So, weird parking incidents, funny water, and silly ordering techniques aside, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wow!! words cannot express how delicous the
cupcakes at Pattys are. The cake is super moist
and the frosting is wonderful and creamy and not
too sweet. The perfect cupcake. Cant wait to try
all the flavors. By far the best cupcake I have
EVER had.

Smell of sweet goodness In the air!

So It all started when I went In with my friend
for a cake testing for her wedding. We were
greeted right away, with a smile and kindness. As
we sat I was taken by the decor of the place.
Beautiful and cute is what I thought . And the
smell of sweet goodness In the air.
We then sat with Phillip. And he was very
professional and gave good recommendations to what
we were looking for. He also educated us on cake
making, Which I thought was a unique touch to our
cake testing experience. Phillip recommended lemon
cake. Which I am not a lemon fan of any kind of
dessert. He assured me that I would change my mine
once I tasted there recipe for lemon cake. I
assured him he couldn’t get me to change my
thought on lemon cake. so he brought out a array
of samples we agreed on. I took a bite of the
lemon. I must say, It was amazing…..! He smiled
as he knew he had me. I loved It! I’m a fan of the
lemon cake. I couldn’t believe It. Cause I hate
Lemon desserts! I crave Patty cakes lemon cake
now! We also had chocolate which was as moist as a
good cake should be. Phillip was prompt with a
smile and great service at the day of delivery.
Leaving us all happy and looking forward to the
wedding cake. The art work of the cake was
Gorgeous as ever. And when the cake was served.
There wasn’t any left behind.
I for sure say you should stop by and place your
order with patty’s cakes! You won’t be let down.
And I love that you can get that same great taste
in a cake ball! Mmmm…. Cake :)

I was a little confused when I first came in
because they didn’t have a whole array of cupcakes
and goodies on display (other than the cake balls)
like other cupcake shops. I like to see how my
sweets look when I’m deciding to buy them but I
guess they frost their cupcakes when you buy so I
can’t complain too much about it.

The chocolate chip, smores, and red velvet balls
are my all-time favorite. Their balls stand out
because the actual cake is extremely moist and
rich without being too sweet. I got a few
cupcakes last time but I wasn’t as crazy about
them but I’ll definitely try the Elvis cupcake
next time.

Everyone I’ve met who works there has been really
nice and patient. I usually go on Friday’s around
5:30 PM and I’m usually the only one there. I’m
glad they don’t run out of stuff like some other
cupcake shops.

I was absolutely craving something sweet so I
looked up cupcake shops. A few popped up but one
name stood out among the rest Patty s Cakes. So my
daughter and went and experienced some of the best

Thank you Patty’s Cakes!!!!! And Yelpers! I came
in here to order my wedding cake based on Yelp
reviews. I had been dead set upon going to another
pricier bakery that I shall not name. It was a
hassle trying to get a appointment with them that
fit my schedule and that of my mother in law who
was going to buy the cake for us. So I called
Patty’s Cakes and was able to get a appt right
away. When we arrived Phillip helped us, he was
very professional and helped me find a cake that
matched my decor. I usually don’t like Lemon cake,
but theirs was soo moist and delightful I had to
have a layer of that lemon goodness in my cake.
The whole experience was great, My mother in law
really enjoyed the cakes and Phillip made her
laugh a few times. ( it made the whole experience
a great bonding moment for her and I)
Fast forward a few weeks and the big day arrived.
My cake looked beautiful!!! ( I will post pics as
soon) It tasted even better!!! I cant tell you how
many of my guests exclaimed about how delicious
the cake was. I am forever a Patty’s cake loyal
customer! Once again thank you Phillip my cake was
AMAZING!!!

You won t be disappointed!!!

This place is located in a not-so-nice looking
area, but the people in there are so wonderful.
I’ve never been to this place and was helped
checking in (because I usually don’t check in so I
don’t know how :P). I got three cupcakes (red
velvet with cream cheese, chocolate raspberry, and
the chocolate with chocolate chip whipped cream
with chocolate drizzled chips). All three were
great, but the chocolate drizzled chips were not
my cup of tea so I picked it off. I love the
chocolate chip whipped cream! The red velvet cake
ball was amazing as well. i will for sure come
back!

CAKE BALLS and cupcakes, need I say more. I was
introduced to Patty’s by a friend and have
continued coming here for the past 2 years. When
you enter there is someone always there to greet
you with a smile and they are helpful. I go to
patty’s for a friends birthday, when the hubby is
sick, or just because I am craving a cupcake! The
red velvet and chocolate cake ball are a must try!

For a “non-cupcake loving” person, I was quite
surprised by the fluffy, light texture and the
good balance of the sweet frosting.

For my birthday, we tried 3 flavors:
* Red Velvet (3 STARS) – Cream Cheese Mousse
* Butter Pecan (5+ STARS) – Apple Filled with
Cream Cheese Mousse
* Chocolate Caramel Salty (4 STARS) – Chocolate
Cake / Chocolate Fudge, Caramel, & Sea Salt

Why name a cupcake “butter pecan” if it’s filled
with APPLES!?
At least the apples were diced into small cubes
and thick filing like an apple pie.
The only “pecan” part was the pecan bits on top of
the frosting… hmm..??
Well, at least it tasted the BEST out of all 3
flavors.

Also, for someone who doesn’t normally appreciate
chocolate cake, I really really enjoyed the
chocolate frosting!!! Man, the sea salt caramel
sauce drizzled on top of the chocolate fudge is
WOW!!!

The Red Velvet was average… Nothing to great or
outstanding from any other cupcake shop..

Since this is a tiny, family-owned cupcake shop, I
would definitely return to try another flavor!!
Yay for micro-business!!! :)

Although the choices of cupcake flavors aren’t as
diverse as other places, this place is THE best
cupcake I’ve ever had. Moist, rich (but just
enough), and with a fun filling too that isn’t
overpowering! They make the perfect cupcake and I
personally think their peanut butter chocolate
ones are to die for!

Love! I absolutely adore cupcakes, and this is
always the best place to go for consistently
amazing cake. The cake texture is always so moist,
and the frosting is light and fluffy. My favorite
is the Chocolate Caramel Salty, but I always have
to get Red Velvet and Butter Pecan. I can always
count on amazing cupcakes! Yum!

Where do I start! We had our wedding back in
September 2012 at The Hilton in Costa Mesa… had
about 9-10 months to prep and plan before that…
Instead of your typical wedding cake… I decided
to do a cupcake tower. Got my idea from
pinterest… So from there had to decide on the
perfect cupcakes to enteratin 280 guest…

We did over 10 cupcake tasting all through out
Orange County… so with Patty’s Cupcakes on my
tasting list… I Made an appt with Philip
Gomez… and came there in the evening to start
our tasting… He was a great help! Explained
everything about thier store and thier cupcakes in
full details… We started off with 3 cupcakes and
he gave us the 4th… We had Red Velvet, Lemon,
The Elvis and Butter Pecan!!!!

Did I say we went to over 10 tastings already?
Patty’s Cakes blew them all out of the water!!!!
There was no if ands or buts… we knew this was
our TOP #1 choice to pick and have them cater at
our wedding… My husbands favorite was Butter
Pecan that was apple filled with Cream Cheese
Mouse… My favorite was Red Velvet with Cream
Cheese Mousse… The texture of the cupcakes were
all moist & that’s what got us… It was moist in
every bite! the Flavors were incredible…
Presentation was excellent & the customer service
we couldn’t have asked for anything better…
Philip was very detailed saavy and organized…
the cupackes were bigger than the prior tastings
we have gone to…

Not to mention the prices were very reasonable…
and affordable…

On our wedding day,,, Our cupcakes were delivered
on time and puncuality is a must for me…
especially day of the wedding it was very
hectic… cupcakes were properly placed in thier
boxes and exactly how i ordered it on the dot…

I had also ordered a giant cupcake for my cake
topper to have something to cut… That did not
disappoint… the giant cupcake came out
great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
after delivery our cake cutting wasn’t until about
4 hours laters at the reception and of course…
the cupcakes were just as I expected… Moist and
DELISH!!!!! We made a great decision in picking
Patty’s Cakes… and we can’t thank you enough for
a stupendous job they did… 5 stars all the way!

Their cupcakes are always a hit!!!

We’ve been coming to Patty s for the last several
years, and will continue to come for many more.
Their cupcakes are always a hit with our daughters
and guests that we entertain. Their cakes are so
good, I could eat just cake for an entire meal
because it s not too rich or sweet, which is just
perfect.
