Fresh cupcakes with great prices and a 5 star service

I only came by this bakery to pick up some cupcakes, so I don’t know anything about their cakes. I can say that their cupcakes were amazing though! I haven’t been to a lot of cake shops or cupcake places, but I was really impressed with this place. The shop itself is really small and has a cool, family style theme to it with lots of pictures and decorations. The cupcakes were $3 each, and you get a little menu to mark off the ones that you want. They put the frosting on them fresh for you while you wait.
Although the cupcakes were great, the reason this place gets 5 stars is the service. The lady at the front counter was super friendly and nice, and really made the customers feel welcome. I’m definitely returning here.

When visiting bakeries for the first time, I always get the red velvet. If I like the red velvet cupcakes then I’ll keep coming back. And I loved Patty’s red velvet. The cupcake was moist and the frosting was fluffy and sweet (but not too thick and overpowering). I also got the chocolate chip cake balls, and they were delicious. It tasted like I was eating cookie dough! I’m definitly going back for more.

My goodness. All of the reviews are right. This place is amazing!

My good friend Sarah brought me and my friend here on our girl’s day out and WOW! I was blown away. The shop is so quaint and adorable and the lady in the front is just oozing with sweetness. Once we put in our orders for our cupcakes to be iced on the spot, we sat by and amused ourselves by looking at their book full of past wedding cakes (all amazing and creative by the way).

We ordered red velvet, elvis, and a chocolate chip cake ball.

Red Velvet: You HAVE to get one of these. The cake is light and very fluffy. The frosting is to die for.. You can really taste the cream cheese and it’s so perfectly creamy and delcious. My mouth is watering just writing this review…

Elvis: My friend and I both squealed “EWW” when we read its description. Peanut butter, banana and bacon cupcake? The guy in the front laughed at us and said that it is actually pretty good. And he was right! It was unexpectedly tasty; the combination of the sweet banana cake, fluffy peanut butter frosting and crisp salty bacon was unique but good at the same time.

Chocolate chip cake ball: I only had a tiny bite of my friend’s when I really wanted to just stuff the whole thing in my mouth. It had great texture and the combination of cake and chocolate was an epic win.

For 3 dollars each, I guess you can say they’re pretty expensive especially for the cake balls. Come in on a special ocassion when you can afford to gain a few pounds and you won’t regret it!

Hurrah for Patty and her cakes! Right when we received the goodies she assured us that we WILL be back, and she was definitely right!

Patty’s cakes is the best bakery ever! So far we have gotten my son’s baby shower, first birthday cake, my engagement cake and we will also order our wedding cake here. All of Patty’s cakes staff are all extremely helpful and willing to work with you in whatever it is you want for your cake. The cake balls are delicious, the s’mores cake ball is THE BEST thing I have ever tasted in my life. Ordered cupcakes for the office for the months b-days. I ordered a few of each and all were well received. The c-cakes were moist and flavorful and therte is a great selection of frostings. The gentleman helping me was very helpful and courteous. While I was waiting for my order I tried one a German Chocolate cake ball and it was very flavorful. I didn’t know what to expect but it was very dense and rich and went down great. All of the office mates gave it a thumbs up.

Go in, let the person know you’d like some cupcakes, and he’ll get you a checklist of what you want and they’ll frost it on the spot!

I ordered red velvet, peanut butter mousse w/chocolate cake, apple something, and something else. All four were delicious! I enjoyed how the cream was mousse-textured, not heavy frosting – my teeth are growing cavities as I’m eating it- status.

My parents still prefer the super light and fluffy asian cakes, but I really enjoy the more dense texture of the cake in the cupcakes. It adds more personality to them!

Keep some napkins with you, it gets kinda messy!

Will be back for sure.

Patty’s Cakes is an amazing, magical kind of place. You walk in and are greeted by knowledgeable friendly staff. Wonderful cake balls are on display. If you want cupcakes, you get an order form, fill it out and it is immediately brought to you. Fresh wonderful cupcakes and cake balls. The cake balls are amazing. We bought a dozen cakeballs with the Groupon coupon. They are delicious and just the right amount of a sweet after dinner. The cakeballs look small but don’t be fooled by appearances. They satisfied 15 year old boys at a birthday party and there was no fussing with cakes and plates!

I just loved the way my daughters Birthday cake came out! I was a little nervous since this was the first cake i bought from Patty’s. Once we picked it up i was in love with the presentation the detail.
It was by far the cutest Tinkerbell cake i have ever seen! Then it was finally time to taste it :-) my favorite part of course !!! and OMG it was so delicious, I ordered the red velvet AMAZING….. TWO thumps up!!!!!
From now on we will so be ordering our cakes from here…..

My fiance’s grandmother recommended this place to me and bought my fiance and I two cupcakes – the red velvet and the peanut butter. Both were amazing! We decided that this would be the place to get our son’s birthday cake.

When we got to Patty’s cake, the gentleman at the front counter was absolutely engaged and had a great attitude. When I told him how soon our son’s party was, he ran to the back to ensure that they could fit us in, and I’m so glad that they could. I also gave them the artistic freedom to do whatever they wanted with the cake but I did give them the firefighter theme.

Patty’s Cakes made my son’s 1st birthday an absolute hit! We ordered the banana cake with bavarian chocolate filling and fresh bananas. It was absolutely amazing. EVERYONE loved the cake. It was moist and the chocolate was not too sweet. The artwork was also soooooooo cute!

The price also included a “smash” cake for my son. He ate HALF! We totally had to give him a bath and bring him back to the party but it was so worth it. He was running around like crazy all night, too.

I will definitely be coming back to Patty’s Cakes!!

WHO COULDNT LOVE PATTYS CAKES? I go here all the time with my little sister and my Grandma after school and it is so fun! Its not just any other boring old bake shop, its a warm, and welcoming bake shop with amazing pastries. The cupcakes are moist and the frosting is perfection. Lemon cupcake was the best! Red Velvet is my second fave here. The cupcakes are moist and I especially love the airy frostings. I’ve tried Sprinkles before but it’s just too sweet for me. Patty makes it just right :) I live 25 minutes away and will be coming back for more!!

I was introduced to this fantastic place because my friend bought a groupon and before she ordered a cake we wanted to make sure we liked it. Not only are they around the corner from my work it turns out that the family is local and went to my high school, and to top it off their desserts taste amazing.
On my birthday I went into the bakery to get a cupcake and a cakeball with my friend to celebrate my birthday and that is when I fell in love with the LEMON CAKE BALL, omg if you like lemon you have to try this!!!
Then the next day at my birthday party my friend, the one with the groupon, suprised me with the coolest cake I have ever seen, it was a corset. The cake looked beyond amazing, if you don’t beleave me I uploaded a pic of it, and it tasted even better then it looked.
I definitely suggest this to anyone who enjoys their desserts.

PATTY, YOU ROCK!!!! You know how when you go to a wedding and most of the cake is left uneaten? Well not so with the wedding cake Patty made for our daughter’s wedding yesterday. Chocolate cake with chocolate chambord cream filling for 300 and it is GONE! It was great. My niece said they all had 2 pieces each. My husband is not easy to please when it comes to cake…especially when it comes to the frosting…and we were commenting today how good the cake was, especially the frosting. So I came back to Patty’s cakes because I fell in love the first time. This time I went to get my neice some yummy sweets for her birthday. I got her the s’mores cake balls and the red velvet cupcake. she loved the s’mores cake ball and she has yet to try the red velvet. I couldn’t resist I had to get something for myself and the hubster. He loves the elvis cupcake; banana cake, with i believe pb n maple frosting with sugared bacon on top. I got the s’mores cake ball n the lemon cake with lemon frosting kinda like a gel. when i bit into the s’mores cake ball i was said O….M…..G!!! same reaction to the lemon cupcake. I’ve only had the cupcakes so I can’t comment on the cake balls or the custom cakes….but I’m a fan!

I was supposed to make dessert for a get together at a friend’s house but realized the night before the event that I was missing some ingredients. With no time to bake, I thought to myself…maybe I can buy cupcakes and pass them off as my own. Well, the minute I laid eyes on the cupcakes (and later when I actually tried one), I realized that there’s no way I am capable of anything as great as Patty’s Cakes cupcakes. They are beautifully designed, super moist and come in super creative and inventive flavors. My personal favorites were: chocolate cake with chambord frosting, white cake with chocolate chip frosting, the elvis (banana cake, peanut butter frosting & bacon!) The great thing about Patty’s Cakes is that the frosting is whipped and isn’t too thick and sweet like Sprinkles. Plus, the cake stays moist even after days in the fridge!

The cupcakes are reasonably priced. Customer service was fantastic! I called on Friday morning and asked if they were going to sell out of baked goods by 5PM that day (it would be the earliest I would be available for pick up). The person helping me over the phone told me he would reserve as many cupcakes as I needed and when I showed up at 5:30PM, they were SOLD OUT of cupcakes but I still had my assortment of 8 cupcakes reserved for me!!

I can’t wait to order a custom cake here and try their cake balls!!!

I loved my cupcakes! I hadn’t read about the icing filling and it was a wonderful surprise. Surprisingly. It was not too sweet as one would expect and only added flavor to delicious treat.

Once upon a time Patty made my 5 year birthday cake. As a picky eater I was skeptical of any cake made by someone other than my mom. I loved it!! Time went by and I had not found a cake shop I truly enjoyed because the frosting always tasted way too sugary. One afternoon as a surprise my dad brought home a few cupcakes to try-without telling me who made them. I instantly fell in love with the chocolate fudge cupcake and the frosting was absolutely perfection. I look forward to my return visit to sample more of these amazing cupcakes!!

I think I’m the only person that hates bacon, but Patty’s Cakes’ cupcake is the only exception! This is the only way I could eat bacon; on their cupcake. YOU’RE BACON ME CRAZY. The peanut butter frosting was really good esp. with the banana cake. They were definitely meant to be united.

They have toasted marshmallows on top and inside of the cake balls. There’s also graham crackers on top of it, definitely eye candy!!

All of the goodies I tasted were moist and bomb diggity!! I had Patty’s Cakes bookmarked for awhile because Google map said it’s 22 minutes away (I got a little lazy)!! Sprinkles is so much further away from me and Patty’s Cakes is SO MUCH BETTER and with the best service ever! Phillip helped me choose my cupcakes and cake balls. He went into detail on what was inside each cupcake.

Patty’s Cakes and Desserts is an inviting place to be. They offer tea and lemon flavored water as you browse their selection of desserts. If you’re going to order a dozen or more items, you should probably call in your order. Otherwise, you could just choose from the items they have in the case.

I’ve had their cupcakes. They were good (especially the Elvis: banana, peanut butter, and bacon), but I’m partial to their cake balls. I really enjoyed the red velvet, but they were all great. They look as good as they taste.

The S’mores Cakeball was so yummy. It isn’t like anything I have tasted before. The outside is covered in chocolate and the inside had marshmallows baked into the chocolate cake. I wish I would have eatten that second.

I also tried the Butter Pecan, Apple Filled with Cream Cheese Mousse. Now this was the most moist cupcake ever! I didn’t get much of the Pecan taste because the apples overpowered the taste, but that was quite alright by me. It reminded me of the sourcream apple pie from Marie Calendars.

I want to go back to the OC for a cakeball. Anyone going to Disneyland, the Honda Center or an Angels game. It is worth the trip off the freeway.

Who knew anything could be so delicious? I was dropping off my dry cleaning at M&M Cleaners, and wanted to try something from Patty’s.
I chose the Banana Cake Ball, and it was probably the best thing my mouth has ever tasted. The cake was not too rich and not too light, it was perfect. Melted in my mouth and the banana wasn’t overpowering. I could probably eat a million of these things. The only complaint I had was that it was a little pricey for the size of it. ($3 is what a cupcake should cost..not a cake ball. I would probably frequent Patty’s more if their cake balls were more reasonable!)

OMG!!! Our winery themed cakes for a surprise birthday party were a GRAND SLAM HOME RUN! Patty you outdid yourself once again. You baked my wedding cake 20 years ago and did an outstanding job for a very special friend today. We had white cake with bavarian/raspberry filling an a chocolate cake with a chambord mouse. The BEST ever! the winery wanted one of your cards! The ONLY cake place for me!
