The store is very cute and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cupcakes were delicious! The sweetness in the cupcakes was perfect. Not overwhelmingly sweet like other cupcakes I’ve had. I will definitely be returning to this bakery :D

Patty’s cupcakes makes great cupcakes. I ordered the red velvet and was very impressed. The frosting was very thick and moist, and the cake was moist as well. I was very impressed and would put it on the same level as sprinkles which I also enjoy.

I’m glad I did…. First impression is everything and I really like that store was VERY CLEAN, cute, and charming.
The guy working was super nice and friendly. I got a dozen cupcakes with different flavors. They were all delicious… My favorite was the velvet cake. Normally I don’t eat the icing because it’s too sweet, but their icing was equally yummy. I will be ordering my cakes in the future…

I visited patty’s cake for the first time this past wednesday for the ” bake sale” ( buy 2 cupcakes, get one free). I got the red velvet, white with vanilla mousse, and choc with vanilla mousse…and O M G , they were heavenly!!! My 2 kids and I devoured it in less than 5 minutes. My 9 yr old daughter doesn’t care much for red velvet or chocolate, but she was all over this one. I am just disappointed that I did not know the bakery has existed in my neighborhood all these years and I have lived in the area for over 5 yrs. I highly recommend patty’s cakes :D…

Patty’s Cakes made my husband and I’s wedding cake back in 2005 and it was sooooooooooo good, all my friends still talk about till this day. At first I wasn’t sure how this new bakery was going to do. Then my daughter started interning there and kept telling me how great it is and that I need to come in. Well I was just going to be supportive and stop in to say hi and pick up a cupcake. I am so glad I did. Patty and her son Philip are the friendliest people. I picked up the Chocolate cupcake with the Chocolate Chambord (fluffy fluffy fluffy) Mousse and I wanted another one. Going back very soon to try the Elvis one I keep hearing about.

I have been helping a friend find a bakery where she could get a cake made for her boyfriend’s birthday. She found this one by accident. We checked it out and LOVED it! Philip, one of the owners, was just great. My friend wants the cake a certain way and he took the time to ask questions and explain pricing, decorations, flavors, etc. Prices are reasonable too! We tried the cake balls and they were amazing! I decided to try The Elvis cupcake. I was kind of hesitant because of the bacon, but I surprisingly loved it! I will definitely be coming back here!

Just my preference. I love the cakes. Great cakes. I am just not a fan of soft frosting. These are good cupcakes..just my preference. They have several choices. I had the Elvis (banana, peanut butter, bacon.) and a butter cream apple.
My little princess said her two favs were the same as mine, Smores and Chocolate Cake Balls.

Vibrant flavor. Same perfectly textured casing as the others with a very moist cake on the inside. 4 Stars.
Red Velvet (4 Stars)
Red Velvet is not my favorite in general. The cake ball here, however, makes me a fan. Unbelievably created.

My least favorite. The taste wasn’t there for me and the cake was dry.

i love their cupcakes! all of the cupcakes are frost to order… so a bit of a wait! one thing that sets them apart from other cupcakeries is that their frostings are super light and fluffy. they have this one called “the elvis”- banana cake with a peanut butter fluffy frosting topped off with bacon!!!! sounds weird, but soooo good! also, i recommend the vanilla cupcake with chocolate chip frosting- my husband loves it and he hates desserts :)

patty’s cakes to me is like what crack is to a junkie. when i have a craving for their delicious cake balls, i must have them no matter the circumstances. i’m there once a week and if i didn’t have to sit in traffic coming from work, i’d be there once a day. fat-ass? perhaps. but my work-out routine has only been affected by adding an extra mile on the treadmill since discovering this place. the service is PHENOMENAL. phil, mark and miss patty herself (yes, she exists!) will come and greet me each time and know what it is i’m there for each time: a s’mores or red velvet cake ball. should i ever have the need to request a last meal (not like i’m planning a murder anytime soon or anything), their fabulously yummy pastry confections (sp?) would most definitely be the last thing i wanna taste before entering the pearly gates of heaven (assuming it is THERE i’m headed…) ;-P

BEST. CAKE. EVER!!! My 40th birthday last week featured the greatest cake of all time – by Patty’s, of course! It was my favorite – Banana Cream! So delicious, so moist! We ended up having leftover cake – and honestly, even after FIVE days the cake still tasted better than other cakes I’ve had. My wife and I are hooked for life on Patty’s cakes, not only because they are far and above anyone else, but also because Patty and the staff treat us like family. When my wife went to order my Birthday cake, Patty told her not to worry about it because she already knew what I liked and would take care of me. And she nailed it! You should definitely go there and try their cake balls. They’re the best things on earth! They’re cake with a hard outer shell, usually made of chocolate. WHAT A FIND…I cannot believe this awesome as well as fabulous bakery IS IN FULLERTON. Never have I tasted such moist cupcakes and delicate light frosting in my life! I thought Sprinkles Cupcakes were the best, but after eating my first cupcake from Patty’s I will never go elsewhere! What sets this baker above the rest is that cupcakes ordered are frosted fresh when you order them. They are placed in boxes that hold each individual cake studry and seperate from each others. The flavors are bold and distinct. It is apparent that Patty is the real deal and knows how to bake up cakes and cupcakes that melt in your mouth….I will order from her again and again…..

I’m give Patty’s Cakes a star for the number of times I went there in one week. Yes I was at Patty’s Cakes 5 times in one week. That alone can speak volumes.
I first went because of the cake balls. I have never ever had a ball of cake before, so I had to check it out. It is basically a moist hunk of cake surrounded with either milk of white chocolate. Jess C. and I ventured about a mile from school to try 4 different flavors. We chose: Red Velvet, Lemon, Smores, and Banana. My favorite was the Lemon with the Banana coming in second. Jess’s favorite was the Smores and the Banana. The Lemon cake ball was super moist, like Mrs. Beasley’s lemon cake in Beverly Hills. The Smores had tons of goodies on it. It had marshmallows and graham crackers sticking out of it. Jess likes goodies. The red velvet is pretty but there isn’t enough chocolate flavor to it. I think that they are kind of small for the price of $3 but it is definitely worth a try if you come out here. They are great as gifts because they are fun and unique!
Now the next four visits I came for the cupcakes. One of them I was foiled because they ran out (Saturday before closing, which makes sense) and had to buy more cake balls. The cupcakes are also $3 but I think they are more worth your money than the balls. There are more flavors and they are all iced and decorated so well. I have tried a good number of the flavors and my favorite is the Banana! The creamy pudding-like topping is the best. The cake is amazingly moist as well. Most of the cupcakes have a mouse frosting, which is light and airy. I tend to like heavy dense frostings. haha. The Banana and the Chocolate Fudge don’t have the light frosting. The Lemon also has a gelly like frosting instead of the mouse. The cake itself is light too. So if you like dense cake this might not exactly be your favorite but it is definitely moist and not dry at all. The Butter Pecan is a hit with the crowds as well as their chocolate cupcakes. I’d recommend getting half a dozen so you sample more flavors :D
Sprinkles is still my #1 fave but Patty’s does a great job of satisfying my cupcake cravings! I am a fan! I am also a fan of their customer service. Patty herself is the sweetest lady and the guys that work there are hilarious and funny. Super great staff!

I am not a real cupcake fan, but a friend told me I had to go. The cupcake was delicious. It was the chocolate mousse one. Simply delicious. The cupcake was moist and there was just the right amount of frosting. Yum! I had planned to eat only half of it and save the rest for later, but I ate the whole thing in one sitting. The shop is cute and the staff is prompt and friendly. I definitely reccommend it.

What would I go through to get those s’mores cake balls!!!???…I drove from West Hollywood to Fullerton on a rainy day just to have them… Yes, that is how awesome and delicious those cake balls are.
The bakery is small but it is absolutely cute, great decor and the people who owns this place are so nice.
If you haven’t tried their cakes and cake balls… You have to go and have some.

Cupcakesssss!!!!!! We came across Patty’s Cakes and Desserts about a month ago. We were in a hunt for cupcakes around the area and with Sprinkles being 30 miles away + gas + rain + traffic = hell no we’re not going!
We pull up to this small place and I’m a little iffy going in. It’s small and noone’s inside. Nevertheless, we walk in and this guy greets us with a big smile and was very welcoming…really good customer service. He introduced us to their list of cupcakes and right away, my boyfriend notices one that says bacon (Elvis cupcake). Peanut butter, banana cream and BACON?? In my head, I’m thinking, this guy is weird! Boy, was I wrong! It somehow works perfect together. Their icing is so creamy and doesn’t give you a sugar rush after eating ONE cupcake. We’ve tried almost all of their cupcakes and so far, we have yet to find one flaw. We definitely recommend Patty’s Cakes and Desserts to all of our family and friends. :D

Even though I dont live in the area or couldn’t go over there, everything was done by phone. The next day our wedding cake was more than I could ever dream of! My new husband and I, as well as our guests loved the cake. Not only was it beautiful and elegant but it tasted awesome!!!! One word-CAKEBALLS!!! We had a coupon for buy 2 get 1 free. We had the S’mores cakeball, red velvet cupcake, and chocolate cupcake with chocolate chip cream frosting. The cupcakes were light, moist, and not too sweet and were really great. But the S’mores cakeball is to die for! Sinfully dark chocolate filled with marshmellows and graham crackers dipped in chocolate again. I cannot wait to go in and get this again and try the other flavors!!!

I discovered Patty’s Cakes and Desserts last week since I’ve been looking at different bakeries for a cake for my wedding this summer. Needless to say, this bakery takes the cake!
The customer service here is amazing. Patty is so sweet and helpful. Even though they were busy getting ready to deliver a wedding cake when my fiance and I first visited the bakery, they still managed to give us great information and give us their full information and time. Patty even made a sketch and quote for my wedding cake right on the spot! While my official cake tasting appointment isn’t for another week, she did send us home with three free cupcakes: white, lemon, and red velvet all with the vanilla mousse icing. I
I am absolutely in love with her cupcakes! They are so flavorful, moist, light, and had just the right amount of sweetness. I was especially impressed with the white cake. Normally I think white cakes are kind of plain, but this one had so much flavor!!! It was incredible! The icing was amazing. It’s creamy and fresh, and I love that they put it on the cupcake when you order it (so much better than seeing a cupcake sitting in a fridge for who knows how long!). Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and unique. I really can’t wait to try more cupcake flavors!
I’m really looking forward to working with Patty for my wedding cake….the hard part will be deciding on some flavors. :)
