“I had a sweet tooth a couple of days ago so I decided to stop into Patty Cakes. The shop is the cutest thing ever and the owners (mother and son?) were very friendly. They had a few cupcakes and other treats to choose from. I decided on the pumpkin cupcake and it was soo delicious, especially the cream cheese frosting. “My now husband and I met with Patty months before our wedding and sketched out the idea for our wedding cake. We took Patty’s advice of having multiple flavors and the combo red velvet and chocolate with Kalua cream was fantastic. Our guests raved over the cake for its beauty and flavor. My not so great servers cut up my whole cake leaving no cake top for my husband and I, which we planned to chow down on our wedding night with a bottle of champagne. Patty being the angel she is made me a mini two person cake that my husband and I shared on our one month anniversary. Patty was the ONLY wedding vendor I had NO PROBLEMS with. My husband hates desserts yet he gobbled two huge pieces of Patty’s cake. Thank you so much Patty.”

“When a co-worker brought some cupcakes to work, we were hooked by the moist cake and flavorful toppings. When she went to pick up an order of “cake balls”, I had to try them. They’re like cupcakes rolled into a ball, dipped in white chocolate or chocolate and topped with even more tasty treats. I couldn’t wait to try one! I bought 3 flavors: Red Velvet, Smore’s, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. All 3 had sweet surprises in the middle! My family went nuts over them! They were so sweet and tasty that we had to cut them in thirds so that we could all enjoy the delicious treats! I have a major sweet-tooth, and Patty’s Cakes is the cure.”

“Eddie did a lunch run to Patty’s Cakes just for fun and brought back some cupcakes. I got the pumpkin cake with cream cheese butter icing. Hands down the best icing and cake ever. Seriously. The icing wasn’t too sweet or too cream cheesy, just perfect. The chocolate flake added just the right amount of chocolate flavor without overpowering the pumpkin cake and turning it into a chocolate item. The cake was perfectly spiced – again, not too sweet, but hit the right notes. Anyone can make a pumpkin cupcake, it takes a master to make a perfect one.”

When I found out about a bakery that had just opened in Fullerton, I made a b-line straight for it (thank you Dena @ Hidalgo for sharing). As a local Realtor, I like to bring a fresh baked goodie to a client or vendor from time to time. To be honest, I feel like one thing Fullerton has been missing is a bakery I could pop into and pick this stuff up! I am just happy that I don’t have to go to the “cake nazi” anymore….did I really write that? Well, I didn’t say who they were.
As I was writing, I went straight in to check it out and see who might be running the show (hoping for a sweet baker and a sweet baker she was). I love to support local small business and I was glad to meet Patty. She is someone I want to support.
Ok, the cupcake I chose…there were just a few to choose from but she didn’t need many. She had me at chocolate/peanut butter. It melted in my mouth. The peanut buttery whip creamy topping was so fluffy and soft and just the right amount of peanut butter flavor. The cake part was chocolate and so light and fluffy that it might have floated away if I wasn’t holding on so tight and gobbeling it down.
Her prices are reasonable and that was the icing on the cake for me! Go see Patty! I would like to see her succeed in Fullerton!”

“I love cake, and Patty’s Cakes and Desserts only make me love cake that much more! The cakes and cupcakes are always moist and the frosting is whipped and light. The cream cheese frosting is perfection. It is light, tastes like cream cheese and isn’t overbearing. I used to always remove the frosting from cupcakes and cakes, but I do not dare remove the frosting from anything that comes from Patty! Let me state for the record that I do not like banana flavored pastries, cakes or breads. I reluctantly tried a banana cupcake and ohmygoodness, it was delish! The flavor was so light. You got the right amount of banana without having felt like you just ate a bunch of bananas.
Last but not least, I highly recommend the peanut butter frosting on chocolate combo. It gives you the satisfaction of the peanut butter and chocolate combo. Go visit the shop today and try some of her amazing baked goods!”

I always happily end up finishing my entire piece cake when it comes from Patty, whereas, if it’s coming from somewhere else, I would usually be polite and eat a bite or two. “Unparalleled Customer Service Let me just say that I drove from Culver City to Fullerton to pick up Patty’s cupcakes and would do it again! Originally, her services caught my eye because she is the only one in the business I’ve heard of that allows the customer to design the look of their own cake without additional cost! When I clarified this with her, she looked at me pointedly and said, “Why would I charge people extra for wanting to custom decorate their own cake?” When I picked up my cupcakes there were six more waiting for me than I had ordered. She explained she had made extra batter so she just assumed bake, decorate, and add them to my take-home box for no extra cost! Icing on top of this sweet deal? When I went to pick up the cupcakes, she offered me free bag-o-cake, a very tasty creation I highly recommend to all cake fans. A+ for customer service, fair pricing, and yum factor! Thanks Patty!”
