“I highly recommend Patty’s Cakes! My friend and I decided to give this place a try today since we had a major craving for cupcakes, and I’m so glad we did! The service was excellent, even though they had just been slammed by a big walk-in order and had only one cupcake left in the display. They kindly offered to frost whichever cupcakes we wanted to order. They were delicious! Moist cake, amazing frosting/mousse, and cream filling to top it all off. “I walked in with a cupcake craving and had no idea this place even existed. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service. Even though they were slammed from the holidays he made four cupcakes especially for me. The Elvis was my favorite followed by the chocolate peanut butter and red velvet. “I am compelled to write another review of Patty’s wonderful cupcakes! Over Christmas we ordered a dozen Red Velvet cupcakes for my father-in-law’s birthday. Even though I ordered the cupcakes 3 days before Christmas eve, Patty and her staff had them ready to go! When I picked up the cupcakes I was treated like a king by Patty and her son, who remembered me from our last order. Patty and her staff provide top notch customer service and AGAIN, the cupcakes were the greatest I have ever tasted! I found exactly what I was looking for red velvet with cream cheese and for the price I payed it was AWESOME!! they were able to make the princess and frog cake following a design that I created.At the party everyone loved the cake. Its was so moist and just as what its name is velvety. very good, ans the color amazing! Yesterday was my annual get together with my high school friends, it’s our traditional Christmas dinner. One of them brought a dozen of these sweets. I tried a bit of the red velvet and a banana one. It was sweet, pretty sweet, but not overtly sweet. It kind of tasted like batter, but I liked it a lot. I really want to try the cupcakes next. Not only are these cake balls cool to look at, they have different designs on it. I love the creativity and shall check out this shop when I’m in the area.”

I went on a Sat late-morning, and unfortunately, all the cupcakes were gone, so I was only able to try to cupcake balls. So if you want to make sure you get a cupcake, go early! Or call-in before you arrive!

“I found Patty’s-Cakes through Yelp and was convinced to give the place a try when I saw their Yelp deal (Mention Yelp and get a 4th cupcake free). They have a pretty big variety of cupcakes and the two times I’ve been there, they have been extremely nice. Their cupcakes are $3 each (slightly expensive), BUT they make up for it with these business size cards on their counter top that say (Buy 2 cupcakes, get the 3rd free). Look for those cards! I love places with deals. Patty’s-Cakes will always be my go-to place whenever I have cupcake cravings.”

“One day I was craving Red Velvet cupcakes so I looked up local bakeries. Their site was extremely helpful in finding out what they offer. When I went to their cutely and very pink decorated store, the employees were very cheery. Their Red Velvet cupcakes are pretty good (although I’d prefer the frosting to be more cream cheese-y) but their lemon cupcake is amazing. It really tastes like real lemon. I plan to try all their cupcakes eventually.”

“My girl friend is from New Jersey, and I been living in Cali my whole life. Every time I went to New Jersey, she would take me to a place called “Mr. Cupcakes”
It was amazing, and we became addicted. Then she moved over here in Cali. So obviously we couldnt have Mr. Cupcakes anymore, so we decided to go out Cupcake Hunting. We wanted a place that could easily replace Mr. Cupcakes. It would have to be really moist (most places are light and dry) The frosting would have to be creamy, not too light, not too heavy. The cream cheese would have to have more flavor than just cream cheese. There would have to be crazy creations. The cupcakes would have to look nice too. The place would have to have nice people.
Well, this is the place. It covered everything we were looking for. They can expect to see us more often for our cupcake cravings.

Elvis Cupcake
My favorite is “The Elvis”, and I thought it would be my least favorite. Its a cupcake with banana bread, peanut butter frosting, and bacon on top. It was AMAZING!
The only problem I have, is the price. Most places, or “Mr. Cupcakes” are around $1.50, but here its $3.00 per cupcake.
Overall, we had a great experience. My girl friend and I have known each other for six years, and now we have a new place to carry with us in our relationship.
Who knows, maybe one day we will get there wedding cake.”

“Tuesday morning cupcakes were flying off the shelf so fast I had to wait about 10 minutes to get fresh ones. I would give a 4.5 if I could, but I rarely give out 5’s especially on a first visit. First off, the owners are so nice, I love that it’s a community bakery. I did do the Yelp special and got 4 cupcakes and you can’t be a free cucpake, but only ate 1. I had the white frosting on vanilla. The cupcake itself was delicious and there was a nice surprise of a filling in the middle. The cupcake was very moist and I did want more. I liked that the frosting didn’t overbear the cupcake (like they do at Sprinkle’s). Though I wasn’t in love with the frosting like I was the cupcake bread. I brought some to share at school. My friend had the Red Velvet and she said it was the best cupcake ever. My other friend did not mention anything about the chocolate cupcake with white frosting and neither did my mother-in-law about the pumpkin. So I’m dying to go back and try the Red Velvet. My only hesitancy to come back as often is the price. For the size, it’s a little more than I’d like to pay, but with the Yelp deal, it’s easier on the wallet, but keeping in mind a coffee can be $5, it’s worth it as a treat.”

“I heard of Patty’s cakes through Groupons. My weak spot is sweets! If a shop pops up, I’m there. I bought the Groupon for Patty’s cakes after seeing a friend purchased one also. I checked their items out onine and saw that they pretty much offered the same stuff all sweet shops offer. I saw pictures of the Cake balls and wasn’t to thrilled about them, they looked tooo sweet! The cupcakes, how can they be any different than other places? I took my boys in, bought two cake balls and a variety of cupcakes to sample. The cake balls, knocked my socks off!! We tried the chocolate chip and the red velvet. Very moist inside and the chocolate that they are dipped in was not remotely overbearing! The cupcakes, were also really good. I love that the frosting is not sweet and love that the cupcakes are filled in the middle. Needless to say I now have two to go places for desserts. Very glad I bought the Groupon and found this place!!”

Their Cupcakes are a divine inspiration of delicious, most flavor filled cake and sweet, creamy melt in your mouth frosting. As a self proclaimed cupcake addict I have been to many cupcake places in Orange County and many other places I have visited and these were by far the most moist, amazing, cupcakes. The cake balls were a new thing to me the chocolate banana ones were delicious. Biting into one of these cake balls is a smooth, decadant treat for any occassion. The red velvet was like a highly addictive sin, you couldn’t believe it was so good. For additional incentive the eye candy that is Patty’s son isn’t too bad either.”

(We waited while they iced some freshly made cupcakes for us) I have to agree with a previous reviewer who said although she didn’t particularly like banana, the banana cupcake was delicious, and it was. I loved the sweet and salty combination of the peanut butter and chocolate and the red velvet was divine as well. As for the cake balls, the chocolate ones were truly to die for however I wasn’t as crazy about the other flavors we tried (chocolate raspberry-couldn’t taste the raspberry in it, and the chocolate chip was loved by one child, but the other two gave it a thumbs down) I will definately be back for the chocolate ones though :)”

“Of course 4 days out i am still panicking about the cake for my cousins baby shower this weekend. I called around no one was very helpful. I finally just googled cakes and desserts in fullerton. Patty cakes was the first to come up, i went ahead and gave them a call.
I don’t remember his name, but a man answered with a smile, and was super helpful. I told him my situation, he put me on hold for about 2 min. They were all booked up for this weekend, but they made a special order. He took down my order and put the cake designer on, her name was Patty. Patty was the nicest lady, told her the theme before i thought of any designs she already knew what to do.
Everything was done on the phone, i live 2 min. walking distance and i don’t feel like i need to go for a consultation or even check on it.
I have total trust and confidence in her and her work.
