I can’t offer enough thanks for Patty’s Cakes. Patty’s Cakes was extremely friendly, helpful, and did an amazing, amazing, amazing job on my wedding cake. They are gay friendly. They worked within my budget and created such a beautiful 3 tiered white wedding cake. I still can’t believe how beautifully designed it was. There was not a piece left, the entire guest ate the entire cake and raved about it. Hats off on doing a wedding cake of my dreams. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Something for everyone, but not easy to find. Way better gluten free cupcake than the gluten free only bakeries,many gf options along with regular flavors. They don’t have a display of cupcakes because they frost the cake as you order it, which makes it fresh, but confusing for a first timer. There is a sign that explains all this, way up on the wall. So look up! You are about to have the best cupcake in Orange County.

Patty’s Cakes and Desserts saved-the-day for our recent Wedding! Two months before our wedding, our original baker told us that they wouldn’t be able to provide the red velvet cake as they’d promised. I knew that my fiance really wanted the red velvet and since deep red was one of our wedding colors, I was determined to find it at an affordable price. We searched online and found all of the amazing reviews about Patty’s Cake’s on here, and booked an appt. with Patty’s for approx. 1.5 months before our wedding date (03/29/14). We were lucky enough that they still had the ability to accommodate us for that date with such short notice. We met with Patty and instantly clicked with her- Patty is such a warm, friendly, creative, helpful business owner- somewhat rare to find such a genuine desire to make the customers happy. Patty and her staff were amazing at turning our dream wedding cake into a reality, and she even provided us with several options to keep it within our budget. The tasting of the wedding cakes, frosting, and fillings was amazing too! We wanted to find a way to have both the chocolate cake and the red velvet, and since each tier of the cake has two layers with filling in between them (brilliant!) Patty came up with the idea to have one layer chocolate and one layer red velvet, and we chose the bavarian cream for the filling- soooo delicious! We also had her light white/ivory icing and our guests raved that this was the best and most beautiful wedding cake they’d ever had! Patty even provided a “take home” box for our top tier. :-) Thank you so much Patty and Patty’s crew. I have already ordered cupcakes from Patty’s since our March 29th wedding, and we plan to use Patty’s for future cakes as well! (ps- I’d post pictures of the cake on here, but I don’t know how to yet, as this is my first Yelp review. I wanted to make sure to share my great experience for other Brides out there and other cake connoisseurs, haha)

It was my baby shower party. We had ordered a cake from Patty’s. It was the best cake ever. The theme I had was great and she did a good design on the cake was really wonderful. All my friends and families loved the cake. The cake tasted so good that my whole full sheet cake got finished. Was not too sweet. It was just right. In the future I will definitely order again from Patty’s cakes. Thanks again! Loved it!

After my last review, I was contacted by the owner to give them another try. A credit was arranged to compensate for the disappointment from my graduation party. Nonetheless, 5 stars for their customer service.
I have been weary of getting anything from Patty’s for any special occasion. I finally had a family dinner this week and grabbed some cupcakes.
The cupcakes were phenomenal. I got an assortment of flavors and we shared bites from each of the cakes. All were moist and delicious. My family raved about them this time, loving the sweet, but not too sweet, light and whipped cream.
Patty’s thanks for the great customer service and for the yummy cupcakes. You have won me over once again!

The 1st time I came to order was 3 weeks ago for my best friend’s birthday. I picked up quite a handful.
The chocolate with peanut butter mousse and the red velvet cupcake are my two faves! In addition, I
absolutely love the 20 gluten free cupcake selection along with gluten free cake selection as well. My
boyfriend and best friend were raving about the cupcakes wanting more during dinner. We didn’t bother to
try the free slice of chocolate cake complimentary by Mastro’s steakhouse since Patty’s cupcake was just
hands down delicious. Btw, the gluten free cake balls are delish as well!

First time at Patty’s Cakes and Desserts and it won’t be the last. I purchased a doz + cupcakes to celebrate a co-workers birthday and anniversary with the hospital (20 yrs) and there are not enough
adjectives to describe these cupcakes. Majority of the comments were about how light & fluffy the icing
was without being over powering or leaving an after taste of greasiness that so many other icings leave
behind. Super moist cake. Variety of combinations were endless. They were gone in no time. Anyone
wanting a sure thing should visit Patty’s Cakes and Desserts. One of those small business owners who got
it right.

My wedding was back in July and we got our cake at Patty’s! Originally my husband was going to bake our wedding cake all by himself but after a few test cakes and a lot of stress we decided we just had to have someone make one for us. My mother-in-law recommended this place as she had a friend who knows Patty.
We had an awesome experience there! We made the drive from Huntington Beach which wasn’t bad at all and once we got there we tried some different cake flavors and various frosting and fillings. I already had a pretty clear picture of what I wanted the cake to look like and Patty was so helpful with choosing exactly the design that I wanted.
Orchids were a main decoration at our wedding so we mentioned that we wanted them on the cake and she needed us to bring in the flowers so that they could be placed before they were delivered.
Well of course I was so stressed and busy that the day before we didn’t make it over there to drop off the flowers ! My bestie called and talked to them and Patty put them on herself the day of the wedding before my guests had arrived at the wedding reception site.
The cake was delicious and affordable for our budget which was tight! It was so pretty and came out exactly like I wanted it! I was so relieved to be in good hands with our cake since it’s such an important aspect of a wedding!

I definitely recommend this place to brides add well to everyone! When we were there it was very busy and their delicious cakes and cupcakes are obviously so great that they sell themselves !

I LOVE that the staff here are friendly, and I LOVE how they ICE everything right when you order and it doesn’t sit around all day till they run out.

Just ordered two dozen “spur-of-the-moment” assorted cupcakes for a birthday. Not only was every flavor on the menu available, but the owner, not another employee, helped me with making some awesome choices.
As for the taste? There’s a reason for the 5-star rating. Every person at the party enjoyed the cupcakes. Both adults and kids alike. My faves…either of the red velvets, lemon drop and PB&J..yum!!
The best part is that each cupcake was frosted upon order, not earlier in the day. Which, in my humble opinion, makes for a better tasting cake. They were moist and flavorful. One might not like the little wait u endure when u order, since they frost “to order”, but the free citrus water makes up for it!!

Cake balls are soooooo good! I love the smores and banana the best. Cupcakes are never dry and are yummy. I love the eclair cupcake best. I would give it 5 stars but they dont do fondant which I thought most bakeries do but ph well. They did my sons baptism cake, which I showed them a cale design from online, and it came out great and reasonably priced. Everyone complimented on the taste and how nice it was. I am now addicted to their cake balls and will be back soon

A coworker brought me a Lemon Cake Ball from there last year and I have been quite conceited about where I get my confectioneries since then. All their treats are literally that – a TREAT! OK, this place has the BEST cupcakes, but OMG the CAKE BALLS? They are the best little balls of baked goodness, they’re the best things I’ve ever tasted. My best friend and I have only been there 3 times, but we barely found this place a week ago, so that tells you how often we’re going. It’s right up the street from us just to make it that much easier!! That is good AND bad for me. The Elvis cupcake is the bomb…but the cupcakes with the chocolate chips are our favorites. On the cake balls, our favorite is the s’mores. They are just so good, starting with the graham cracker and marshmallow pieces on top to the wonderful stuff in the middle, it’s just the best little thing I’ve ever tasted. I’ve only been able to nibble on them, just because they aren’t the type of thing you scarf down – because they’re so good and because they aren’t cheap – so my dream is to one day just eat a whole one in one bite….or at the most, 2 bites. That day is fast approaching!! I recommend this to everyone-seriously, this place is the bomb!

Had my wedding cake for 3/22/14, not only was it beautiful, it was freaking delicious! I ordered enough for 250 guests, even though by the time we cut it we were well under 200, but there wasn’t a slice left! People kept getting seconds! I, myself, ate about three slices! Thank you so much for making my vision come true! The quote was beautiful, in the perfect shade of blue! You guys are amazing! I’m glad i found you! Everyone should At least do a consult with Patty, then you’ll realize that she is an expert at what she does!

All I can say, is Wow !! We saw the many GREAT reviews on yelp and Google so we came to Patty’s to try out the cupcakes. We were not disappointed we sampled 5 different types for my son’s birthday and everyone of them were super. On the day of the pickup our order was ready to take home. but the cupcakes were still too warm so when we arrived home the icing had melted on many of the cupcakes. Not to disappoint my son we called Patty’s and asked if it would be possible to have another order ready for the next morning …. this is where the EXCEPTIONAL customer service comes in ….. The Staff asked how they could make this better for us ? A refund, a future order for free, or a remake of the order. I was not expecting any of these offers, and in most cases today it’s buyer beware, and after the sale customer service is in general so poor. We agreed to have a portion of the ordered remade and Patty offered this free of charge!! The next morning when I arrived Patty not only remade the order, she also gave us a dozen additional bite size cupcakes. Wow! how is that for customer service. I highly recommend this place as everything about our experience was Top notch! you have a customer for life now …… Thank you for helping make our celebration a great one.

They are conscientious of dietary trends offering gluten free options, have the friendliest customer service, and the best damn cake balls you’ve ever consumed. Incredible gluten-free cupcakes!!! Thank you Patty’s Cakes. I’ve been GF for over a year now, and these GF cupcakes are out of this world. A friend and I got the Chocolate with Peanut Butter Mousse and the Chocolate Caramel Salty and split them. First of all, we didn’t want to cut them in half to split because they were so GORGEOUS. Secondly, we were skeptical of whether we’d be able to finish a whole cupcake between us, they looked so decadent! But, as in other reviews, these cupcakes are JUST the right amount of sweetness that they don’t leave you overwhelmed by sugar (most cupcakes give me massive sugar-crash headaches). I’m proud to say that I polished off half of each cupcake and licked up the crumbs, wishing there was more! Thirdly, I’ll be stopping by Patty’s asap to try out other GF flavors!!!

If anyone knows what kind of ingredients they use for their cupcake frosting, please let me know~ do they use heavy cream, butter, confectioner’s sugar, or marscapone, etc?
I love that the frosting is firm/in place and light and fluffy at the same time. It doesnt taste like sugar nor like i’m eating butter.

All I have to say is that I ate two cupcakes in the parking lot of Patty’s (the Elvis and the lemon drop), the Piña colada after dinner, the salted caramel and chocolate this morning for breakfast, and the apple filled pecan one just now. 5 cupcakes in less than 24 hours. I need cupcake rehab. I have a problem… Especially when my 7 year old was only allowed to eat just 1… Please help me!

Philip at Patty’s Cakes was wonderful. He was very attentive at our appointment to sample cake flavors. All the samples he brought for us to try were so moist and delicious but my husband and I were blown away by the banana and vanilla custard. It was so good that my husband couldn’t wait to try it at our wedding, he begged me to buy banana flavor cupcakes (He absolutely hates cupcakes which says a lot about the quality of their flavors!) The presentation of the cake was so beautiful! I loved it! My guests loved the cake, I received so many compliments. Thank you for the beautiful job on our cake!

Amid all of the cupcake fuss nowadays, these are a fantastic treat & much more moist & flavorful than any of the others that i’ve had. No they arent as big (or as expensive) as sprinkles but they are much more delicious & well thought out.
My personal favorite is the banana cream, made with banana cake topped with banana & filled with cream. Yum, perfect.
The staff has always been friendly & helpful. Their packaging is simple yet professional, and at just $3 each, its a cheap little treat from a local small business.

The cupcakes are delicious! The cake is super moist and the frosting is light and creamy. So far, banana is my favorite and I will definitely be back to try more. The Yelp check-in is buy 3, get one free, which you don’t see until you actually get there and redeem. It works out, because you’ll want at least 4 anyway. However, it should be stated off the bat.

Patty’s Cakes has the best cake balls I’ve ever had. Normally I don’t like sweets but I love their cake balls. Their chocolate cake balls don’t taste as sweet comparing to other places. And they don’t have that sugary after taste!

Went here for the first time this morning to pick up some cupcakes for a bridal shower! I was in a bit of a hurry and the woman who helped me was really helpful and got me what I needed in a flash! There were so many flavors to choose form (32!), including quite a few gluten free flavors, which I was so pleased about since I’m gluten sensitive. I ordered 6 different flavors, and they were all so perfect–pretty, delicious & moist & not too sweet! I got a free chocolate cake ball for checking in on yelp & it was amazing! I think I might like their cupcakes better than Sprinkles… like, a lot :) mostly because they are not overly sweet and I love the texture, they’re a little bit denser than Sprinkles. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavors!
