[Review] Heavenly banana cake

Banana cake.

I wanted to start off with that because their banana cake was heavenly. Even my now husband who usually doesn’t like banana-flavored pastries liked it! The cake was so moist and fluffy while the fillings (custard and raspberry) added that extra oomph if you get what I’m saying. I’m sure this was a tad strange combination but my husband liked the tarty flavor the raspberry filling added to the overall flavor of the cake. Their cream is SO GOOD. It’s the perfect amount of sweet! We got a semi-naked 3 tier cake for our wedding and it came out great! Philip was so helpful and accommodating when we were deciding what to get. He told us that the cake could be a little dry since the nature of a semi-naked cake allows it to be exposed more leading to drying out but I didn’t notice it at all!

Besides the UH-MAZING cake, the whole process of ordering the cake was a breeze. Philip is extremely helpful and you can tell he knows what he’s doing. He made sure we would have the right amount of cake and they also adjust the size of your sheet cake as your guest list gets finalized. The prices were reasonable and totally worth the cake.

Did I mention the banana cake was amazing?

Holy cow. I’m so happy that I live nowhere near Fullerton, otherwise, I’d be here on a weekly basis. We needed to gift somebody in the area with a sweet treat so Yelp directed us here. After coming inside and seeing all the options we ended up getting ourselves some cupcakes as well. I ordered the banana one and it was amazing. My husband got the lemon drop cupcake, which was also good. They were really helpful and nice, and make some dang good cupcakes.

The cupcakes were very moist and delicious. Not overly sweet like most are. I ordered a cake for a birthday party. Hopefully, it will be as good as the cupcakes were.

Fantastic cupcakes! One of the few places that have reasonably priced mini cupcakes. We were doing a large order and the service and bulk discount were fantastic. For the minis, we bought the Neapolitan, which the kids loved. When placing the order I bought a variety of full-size cupcakes since I had never been before, the Elvis cupcake was unique and delicious.

Absolutely delicious. I ordered a dozen cupcakes for a work event and they were a hit! The online ordering system was convenient and easy to use. 10/10 would go here again!

I visited the new location, it’s much bigger and the decor is cute, the one downfall is parking … there is none! It’s just street parking down a street.

They offer all their cupcake flavors daily which is great. There’s a chart for you to skim over to check out the flavors. They also have Thrifty’s ice cream, cookies, cake balls, and bag-o-cake. They have cakes for you to take home or you can custom order a cake.

I decided to pick up a cake ball, I tried the s’mores and it was the best !! Gooey chocolate flavor! I also picked up a Banana split cupcake which had strawberry frosting banana cake and pineapple filling. The cupcake was pretty good I just wish there wasn’t as much cake as frosting. I ran out of cake and had so much frosting left. I kinda like an even amount. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying some more flavors and get some more cake balls!!
