We ordered a custom made sheet cake for my baby’s birthday. The party was on Sunday, but we picked it up Saturday night at 8:30pm. We kept it in our fridge until about 2pm Sunday and left it on display and served it at 5pm. The cake was absolutely perfect, still moist and just delicious. Everyone raved about it and by the end of the party we had NO cake left! 5 stars all around! We will be ordering from Patty’s Cakes FOREVER!

We loved our experience with Patty’s Cakes and Desserts! We had our tasting about 5 months before our wedding and it was the best tasting experience we had. The day of our wedding, they showed up on time and the cake was beautiful and tasty! We tried a few other bakers, but nothing compared to the cake we had with them. It wasn’t super dry like I have experienced with other wedding cakes. We loved how delicious it was and everyone complimented the cake! I would use them a millions times over!

I ordered 2 vegan cupcakes and 5 regular. The vegan and regular cupcakes tasted exactly the same! I loved it. Most vegan desserts aren’t as good as the real thing, these are!

These might be the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. There are so many flavors, including gluten-free (20) and vegan (21) options. As someone with a dairy allergy, I don’t usually get that many options for treats like this. The cupcakes were moist and perfectly sweet. They have all flavors available daily until they’re sold out, so you can order whichever flavors you like!

Patty’s is terrific. The cupcakes and cookies have just the right amount of sugar. You know a bakery is darn good when the baked goods are not overly sweet. Having tried a variety of the cupcakes, I find the filled ones particularly excellent. The staff is attentive, friendly. I highly recommend them.

Overall, my husband and I had a great experience with choosing Patty’s Cakes for our wedding cake! We ordered a 3 tiered pecan flavored cake with vanilla custard filling and requested the “naked” look for the design of the cake. They delivered the cake the day of wedding which relieved the worry of how it would get there. The cake was honestly the best cake I have ever tasted and I am really happy we went with them! We would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a wedding cake!

So grateful that we had Patty’s Cakes create our perfect wedding cake! They were highly recommended by Our event coordinator LeeAnn from Summit house and they did not disappoint! The cake is super moist and light and just the right amount sweetness. Even my husband, who is NOT a cake guy, loved the cake! We did a lemon raspberry cake and a strawberry cake with strawberry jam and mousse. Would highly recommend them for your wedding or birthday bash! They also have a great variety of made to order cupcakes if you have a craving for something sweet. We will definitely be back for more treats in the future!

Patty’s Cakes did our wedding cake – 5 tiers with alternating flavors of strawberry and mango with cream cheese. Our guests loved our cake! For our top tier we did guava with cream cheese, which tasted SO delicious during our tasting.. unfortunately our venue served the top tier (you know the one you’re supposed to freeze until your 1 year anniversary), so we came to get a guava cream cheese cupcake after the wedding. Anyway, they made the whole process easy & painless and delivered on time! The only thing is they don’t do floral decorations, which we didn’t know and makes sense that the wedding florist does it. And we were given until a couple of days after the wedding to drop off the cake stands / pieces back to them. Thank you so much Patty and Patty’s Cakes!

Recently placed a semi-large order for a birthday party. I took a chance with Patty’s Cakes and Desserts solely based on the rave reviews from my fellow Yelpers. Couldn’t have made a better decision! I made an initial inquiry on their website about availability and some initial questions about my proposed order and pricing. I was connected with Paulina U. She was OUTSTANDING to work with from beginning to end. Kind, patient with all of my many questions, and quick to respond. Paulina made the process to place an order simple and stress free. The professionalism and organization between our interactions validated for me their expertise in their cakes and handling orders for events/special occasions.
My party was on a Sunday and the Patty’s Cakes and Desserts is closed on Sunday. This proposed a small hiccup in my plans, but everything else about the ordering process and their offerings checked off all of the boxes for me. I scheduled to pick up my order on the Saturday prior to my event, and though we did store a cake and several cupcakes overnight, they tasted super fresh and moist the next day as if they had just been prepared. Our order consisted of
– 8″ chocolate cake with Peanut butter mousse. (minor custom design)
– a dozen mini cupcakes (lemon blueberry, neapolitan, s’mores, and chocolate with oreo)
– 7 standard sized cupcakes (2 chocolate with oreo, 2 s’mores cupcake, chocolate with peanut butter mousse, chocolate with vanilla mousse, and a white razzle)
– 2 vegan cupcakes (vegan chocolate with chocolate fudge and vegan chocolate with chocolate mousse)
Another deciding factor of booking with Patty’s Cakes and Desserts were their vegan and gluten-free offerings. Their ability to cater to the different diets and allergies in our group also made them a definite choice and one-stop shop for my group’s needs. Aside from their moist and light cake, their frosting is true to their claim of also being light and airy. It was not a rich, overly sweet buttercream. I tend to not like buttercream frosting (or most frosting on cakes/cupcakes), but I found the frosting from Patty’s Cakes and Desserts to be absolute perfection.
The quality and taste of Patty’s Cakes and Desserts is undeniable. For that reason, I would reorder if I needed a cake for an event in that area of OC.
