[Review] Creamy, Moist, and Flavorful Cake

For the past 25 plus years, our family ordered birthday cakes and cakes for all occasions from a local bakery in our area.

When it came time to select a bakery for our wedding cake, we did a tasting at our go-to place and frankly, I was shocked at the flavors of the cake, the filling, and the frosting. The words that came to mind were: store bought, from a box, YUCK! I was really surprised and saddened. BUT . . .

A week later we went to a neighbor’s party and they had the most delicious cake I had ever tasted in my life. The words that came to mind when I tasted this cake from Patty’s Cakes were: creamy, moist, flavorful, fresh, homemade, YUM!

So for our small family wedding, we decided on the White Cake with the Vanilla Bavarian Custard and Raspberry Filling for the large tier and for the top tier we chose the Chocolate Cake with the Chocolate Chip Mousse Filling. Guess what? There was hardly any cake leftover. All our guests said our wedding cake was the best they have ever had.

We loved the fact that the frosting on the cakes was so creamy and tasty. The simple design we chose matched the relaxed elegance of our wedding.

We also love Patty’s cupcakes and cupcake pops.
I am so pleased to recommend this 5-star bakery to all future brides!

Patty’s Cakes is delicious. I’ve never had a cupcake I didn’t like. Very friendly, customer service excellent. The parking is tough but make sure you find a space. You won’t be disappointed.

I had my wedding cake from Patty’s Cakes and everyone absolutely loved it. I do not believe I saw any plates with cake left over. The cake was delicious. Patty was so helpful in helping pick out the perfect cake, cake flavors and filling.

We have been going to Patty’s cakes for years for their delicious cupcakes and cake balls so when it came time to get our wedding cake they were the obvious choice. Our initial consultation with Philip was great; he really helped walk us through everything, gave us a photo book of designs to look through and suggested great cake flavors for us to try. We went for a very simple design and the cake itself was chocolate with raspberry filling which everyone loved. We had very little cake left over which shows it was a hit with our guests! Thank you so much to Patty’s cakes for making us a beautiful and delicious wedding cake!

Oh my goodness! Mother/Son partners Patty and Phillip were amazing from Day One. We had called many vendors for cake and tasting before meeting with and eventually hiring Patty’s Cakes and Desserts, and I wasn’t thrilled with the other company’s responses, tableside manner or professionalism. Then, I called and spoke with Phillip – who right off the bat, took the time to listen to my many questions, schedule a tasting (all within a short amount of time) and deal with my little ones during our visit. Then after our meeting, when I called with more questions – he graciously answered every one of them without reservation or hesitation. Finally, we placed the order and arranged for pickup (because our venue is outside of their delivery area) by my brother – and both Phillip and Patty assured me that everything will go smoothly, the assembly of the cake will be clear and easy – and most importantly, the cake itself will meet or beat every expectation of my bride and our guests. I can’t thank them enough for a job well done!

We found Patty’s cakes during a Wedding show at Coyote Hills. There were multiple cake vendors that attended and my wife and I tried them all, all tasted similar and very sweet. Until we saw Patty’s cakes booth, my wife and I locked eyes and immediately agreed that we’ve found the one. We spoke to Phillip more, who was very polite and helpful with all the questions we had. After sampling a few cupcakes, we took home a brochure and visited Patty’s-cakes location in Fullerton. It was a random Saturday visit, we were nearby the area. We knew we needed an appointment, especially since Saturdays were busy, to have a chat with Phillip. We just wanted to pick up a couple of cupcakes and be on our way. However, I just casually asked about their cakes and one of the employees went to get Phillip for us. He immediately recognized us mentioning how we looked familiar. Phillip brought us to the meeting room and started the process of choosing our wedding cake. Everything looked great, it didn’t take long until we decided on the design and flavor. Samples were brought to us that helped us find the cake for our day. We’re very grateful how Phillip was willing to take some time to see us without an appointment. We recommended Patty’s-cakes every time one of our friends ask about cupcakes or cakes. Thank you for such a great experience and the delicious cake.

I rate Patty’s Cake Bakery, an excellent rating. I met with Philip and had tasted. I decided to have 3 different flavors, one in each tier of the cake. He made it possible and everyone at the reception just loved it. It turned out to be so beautiful!!!!

Cake was absolutely delicious! We had a vanilla cake with raspberry filling for our wedding and it was an absolute hit!

Everybody loved it and they don’t use fondant so the whole cake is edible and tasty.

They were also fantastic when I wanted to change the look of the cake and it was so easy to pay for everything.

My wife and I used them for our wedding cake and from what little we each got to eat that night, it was delicious. Everyone was telling us after the wedding how good the cake was, we just have to take their word for it since you never get to eat at your own wedding. My wife and I did thoroughly enjoy the wedding cake tasting we did before the wedding.

Friendly staff, place was hopping with business! I tried two flavors: peanut butter cake with fudge frosting was great. Lemon Razzle was even better, because I loved the mousse icing and lemon is my favorite.
