[Review] Delicious Banana Wedding Cake with Mini Cupcake Variety

We discovered Patty’s through our wedding venue (Orange Hill) and were so impressed by the amount of choices they offered for our cake! We never imagined we’d order a banana cake for our wedding but it was the clear favorite for my husband and I during the tasting! We opted for a smaller 2 tiered cake and mini cupcakes in different flavors so that there was variety for our guests. We were also able to pay out of pocket for cake balls for the kids that came to our wedding and have those delivered at the same time. I can’t wait to go back and pick up our 1 yr anniversary cake so that I can get more cake balls too. One thing to note is that the cake is delivered with only a ribbon. Any decorations (flowers, toppers, etc) are not done by Patty’s.

We got our wedding cake from Patty’s Cakes and we were so happy with it! The taste was a 10/10 so delicious, moist, and not too sweet- just perfect! I ordered a cake for my sister-in-law’s 30th birthday and it turned out soooo good!!! The cake was so moist and soft!! I LOVE that they use like whipped frosting for all the decorations and not fondant!! I also ordered online and never spoke to a store representative until I picked up the cake and it still came out EXACTLY how I wanted it! Also the people upfront were sooo nice and efficient when I came and got the cake! Really 10/10 experience

Patty’s cakes made the cake for our wedding!!!
We hadn’t heard of Patty’s Cakes before but we were referred to them by our venue and oh boy am I glad we used them.
Our wedding was a bit of a challenge because we had a lot of guests with dietary restrictions. I myself have Celiac, while my wife does not and they were more than happy to accommodate us.
First though, I want to describe the tasting experience. They brought out gluten free cupcakes and gave us tastings of all the different possible combinations, to find the perfect match. It was a LOT of fun. They also had a book with all the different ways they could finish our cake and give it the look we wanted.
Initially we were going to make the whole cake gluten-free, because I was worried that was the only way to keep the cake safe for me and the other 5 guests that all had Celiac. Ultimately however we found that the gluten free cake couldn’t structurally support a cake of the size we needed, so we decided to make only the top gluten-free. They handled it with such care though, none of us had any reaction whatsoever. I don’t even understand how that’s possible! I guess they were just really careful!
The cake was DELICIOUS! The cake itself was rich and moist, while the frosting was unbelievably light and airy. It’s almost more like a whipped cream in terms of density than a traditional frosting. This was absolutely perfect for a wedding! It wasn’t as heavy as other cakes I have had before.
We also got a great arrangement of cookies and cupcakes, including vegan cupcakes for our guests that were vegan.
Oh and the kicker? Instead of having to freeze the top layer to eat a year later, which is apparently tradition. We didn’t have to worry about that because they included a free cake one year from our wedding! What other bakery have you heard of that does something like that!?!? This is such a great idea!!
I could not be happier with how this all turned out. Thank you Patty’s Cakes!!!

I’m so happy to have a bakery nearby with vegan options, and to make it even better they have great variety with their flavors, all of which are so delicious.
