My goodness. All of the reviews are right. This place is amazing!
My good friend Sarah brought me and my friend here on our girl’s day out and WOW! I was blown away. The shop is so quaint and adorable and the lady in the front is just oozing with sweetness. Once we put in our orders for our cupcakes to be iced on the spot, we sat by and amused ourselves by looking at their book full of past wedding cakes (all amazing and creative by the way).
We ordered red velvet, elvis, and a chocolate chip cake ball.
Red Velvet: You HAVE to get one of these. The cake is light and very fluffy. The frosting is to die for.. You can really taste the cream cheese and it’s so perfectly creamy and delcious. My mouth is watering just writing this review…
Elvis: My friend and I both squealed “EWW” when we read its description. Peanut butter, banana and bacon cupcake? The guy in the front laughed at us and said that it is actually pretty good. And he was right! It was unexpectedly tasty; the combination of the sweet banana cake, fluffy peanut butter frosting and crisp salty bacon was unique but good at the same time.
Chocolate chip cake ball: I only had a tiny bite of my friend’s when I really wanted to just stuff the whole thing in my mouth. It had great texture and the combination of cake and chocolate was an epic win.
For 3 dollars each, I guess you can say they’re pretty expensive especially for the cake balls. Come in on a special ocassion when you can afford to gain a few pounds and you won’t regret it!
Hurrah for Patty and her cakes! Right when we received the goodies she assured us that we WILL be back, and she was definitely right!

By far the BEST cupcakes I have ever tasted!! The Elvis (banana cake, pb mousse and bacon) was Amazing- a must try!! I also had the Butter Pecan and was blown away. The cakes are super moist and the mousse was perfect. The staff was super friendly. Will definitely be going back to Patty’s

Fresh and delicious. I had passed by the unassuming location several times and thought to myself, “I should try this place.” It wasn’t until I saw the Elvis cupcake featured on Channel 7 News that I realized that I was passing by a real treasure of confectionary bliss. I’ve been on a salted caramel trend lately and was very pleased to see that combination offered on the menu. It didn’t disappoint. I was also pleased with the service, very courteous and attentive. I’m looking forward to my next visit.

I read about this place yesterday on yelp and since it is right by my house i had to go check it out after work. I’m glad I did! The salted caramel frosting is heaven–I could eat a bucket of it! I also loved the smores cakeball–covered in chocolate and stuffed and topped with graham crackers and marshmellows–delicious! I The chambord frosting was good too–light and fluffy and flavorful. Although I liked the peanut butter frosting–again, light, not too thick–I didn’t care for the Elvis, maybe because I’m not crazy about banana. But I had to try it–it’s what got me to this site–i read the bacon- themed newsletter on yelp!

I had been looking for a good cupcake place around Fullerton, and I found one! The cupcakes are moist and sweet and delicious. So far my favorite is the red velvet. I’ll keep going back to try all the different varieties. I tried the “Elvis”. It was certainly interesting! The bacon on top of the banana cupcake with peanut butter frosting was different. My husband thought it was weird, I thought it was unique. The lemon was delicious but I didn’t care for the hard candy on top. Next time I’m going to try a cake ball.
I’ve found the perfect place for my sweet tooth!

Being a cupcake lover and having just given birth, friends brought over some Patty’s Cakes cupcakes…and boy did they hit the spot! My daughters favorite is the red velvet as it is classic, my husband had the Elvis…bacon makes everything better and my fave was the plain vanilla. (you know the true test of a baker is getting their vanilla cake right!)

The young man that helped us was very nice and they had a pretty decent variety of cupcakes which is always awesome :) I came here due to the great reviews on yelp and was not disappointed although I am not sure if they were the best cupcakes I’ve ever tasted… I tried the elvis cupcake, chocholate chip, and the red velvet. I am a chocolate lover and I must say that the chocolate cupcake at cinderella’s cakes was a lot better. Sorry! If i am ever near by though I would not mind stopping by again :)

These guys did my sister wedding cake on the fly and it was fantastic. So I went back to try their cake balls and I was not disappointed. The velvet cake balls are full of delicious decadence. After that my fiancee and I went back to try the Elvis cupcake. Sweet and savory, it was an epicurean delight to my taste buds. With great service and great cakes, you must visit Patty’s Cakes. MMMM… Delicious
