Wow! I went there on a Saturday 10 minutes before closing and met the owner Patty. She was as nice as nice could be! The cake balls that were in the display case looked so pretty so I bought four; chocolate, chocolate chip and red velvet. Amazing!!!! The cake was delicious and the frosting was to die for. Can’t wait to go back and try the other flavors!!

We have been buying cakes from Pattycake since she has been in business, about 25 years I think! We speak highly of her cakes to anyone who will listen. Went by this Saturday to pick up a birthday cake for our grandaughter Emma and decided to try Patty’s cupcakes. The new Lemon Drop is to die for! Do stop by and get a taste of one of her products as they are all tasty and artfully decorated! Thanks once again Patty (and Philip)

Cake Was Like A Dream!
Despite all the trials and tribulations of wedding planning, the minute we stepped into Patty’s Cakes it all disappeared. The bakery was pink stripped and ready for cake tasting fun! The customer service was unbeatable: Patty & Philip were the most generous, understanding, sweet, mother & son team of all time. Not only did they give us warm smiles and hugs, they invested in our love story so that our cake was the most descriptive and personalized to us. On our wedding day, Patty herself came to deliver the cake. It was beyond our dreams, Patty took our vision and made it more. Everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about the cake. Even the anti-cake people were taking two slices!!! The cake and the frosting were light and sweet to perfection. Just to highlight the love baked into their cakes, a month after our wedding they even made us two cupcakes just like our wedding cake. We LOVE Patty’s Cakes and are sure that you will too!
I finally paid a second visit today with my little sister. We were so excited to try the cupcakes again! I came right at 4 while they were closing, but the nice man in the front let us come in anyways. After deciding what to order, and having some friendly chit chat with the man at the counter, he came out with 4 cupcakes.
1. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting: Delicious, as usual. The cake is so soft and the frosting is so dense. I love it!
2. Red velvet with chocolate chip frosting: Again, delicious. The frosting is much lighter and packed with chocolate chips, making it a delicious and less dense treat!
3. Chocolate with chocolate chip frosting: Tasted like a sophisticated Hostess cupcake. I love that each cupcake has a center of cream running through it. So tasty.
4. Chocolate with chocolate fudge topped with caramel and sea salt: MY NUMBER ONE FAVORITE. My goodness, this stuff is amazing. You seriously have to try this cake. The cake is soft and fluffy, and the contrast with the super dense creamy fudge with melting caramel and sprinkles of sea salt on top makes it a perfect combination of soft/dense, creamy/rich, sweet/salty. Overall, just perfect. You have to get this cupcake.
We also got the chocolate chip cake balls which are waiting for us in the fridge. I am too full from the cupcakes.
The service was amazing (Thank you Philip!), and the products speak for themselves. Pay a visit, I swear you won’t regret it (but your waistline might).

she is a wonderful person and our wedding cake was beautiful and yummy :) I had designed my cake and she did a perfect job at crFullerteating it, i was very happy.

I dropped by on a whim after seeing this darling shop on the way to our church’s new thrift store that just up the street. What a delightful surprise to find this gem! I have never seen a cupcake shop where I can pick out my cupcake and get it frosted just as I want, right on the spot. The cupcake was delicious. The topping (peanutbutter) was so light and not overly sweet whatsoever. They put just the right amount inside of the cupcake as well. I’ll be back for sure! Keep up the great customer service as well. You were delightful to meet.

Patty makes the best cakes I have ever had! Not to mention she is the sweetest person. Since my wedding I have ordered about a dozen more cakes from her! I will continue to use Patty as my go-to for cakes because no one else’s come close to the quality and flavor. I have recommended her to several people already and would recommend her to any Bride and Groom. She is so easy to work with and puts time, effort, thought, and love into every cake she makes. Also, try the cake balls…they will be the most delicious thing you have ever tasted! Love you…

The young man that helped us was very nice and they had a pretty decent variety of cupcakes which is always awesome :) I came here due to the great reviews on yelp and was not disappointed although I am not sure if they were the best cupcakes I’ve ever tasted… I tried the elvis cupcake, chocholate chip, and the red velvet. I am a chocolate lover and I must say that the chocolate cupcake at cinderella’s cakes was a lot better. Sorry! If i am ever near by though I would not mind stopping by again :)

My mechanic Walt @ Britalia raved about Patty’s, so after picking up my car, I stopped by on my way back. I’ve been to Sprinkles and Susie Cakes in Newport Beach; how does Patty’s Cake’s compare? Better than Sprinkles and as good as Susie Cakes. I picked up a dozen of assorted cupcakes ($3 ea, $36/doz). Patty’s, like Susie, has a very moist cake (Sprinkles cakes are dry); unlike Susie, Patty’s frost their cakes to fresh to order (awesome!). It’s a small storefront hidden on Commonwealth. Patty’s Cakes fill the cupcake niche for the north OC area. Great service, yummy cupcakes!
