[Review] 1st Birthday Smash Cake from Patty’s

I was looking for a bakery to make my daughter’s 1st birthday smash cake and to order cupcakes for her party. I wanted something closer than the usual bakery that I go to in Glendora. I would always pass by Patty’s Cakes but never tried their cupcakes. I read that they were frosted to order (I’m not too big on frosting) and so I was excited to try them. I ordered 2 cupcakes and they were delicious! The frosting to cake ratio was perfect and they weren’t overly sweet. The cake was moist and not dense as many other cupcakes are. Sadly, they aren’t able to do any custom cakes for the date I needed but I will be ordering my cupcakes through them.

Patty’s has long been a favorite in my family, and they did a wonderful job with my wedding cake! They were very easy to work with, as well as accommodating with my request for additional gluten-free cupcakes to be delivered to my venue along with the cake. Everything arrived on time and looked (but more importantly tasted) wonderful!

Patty’s Cakes was recommended to us by our vendor. They were accommodating, organized and helped us select our cake design and flavors. Prior to setting up the appointment, we had no clue what we wanted other than knowing our color scheme. However, they made the process easy and helped us find the perfect style that fit us and our wedding theme. We both have completely different tastes, but were recommended to try the lemon cake, which we both would have never thought to try on our own, and it ended up being the flavor we both independently loved the best! The cake was beautiful, and our guests loved it! Couldn’t have asked for more.

Beautiful and delicious wedding cake! – From the beginning, we were very impressed with the professionalism of Patty’s Cakes. They returned our call, answered our questions, and set up a tasting appointment. We had a very good experience: discussed cake design, size, icing styles, and got to taste several types of cakes, fillings, and icing. This review is long overdue! My husband and I got married in October 2017 and we had Patty’s Cakes create our dream wedding cake. We got married at Orange Hill Restaurant and they included our cake in the package. Patty’s created the most delicious red velvet and cream cheese filled cake. Our cake was simple yet beautiful! Everyone is still talking about how delicious, light, and moist the cake was. Thank you Patty’s Cakes for making such a delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding! Patty’s Cakes was suggested to us by our venue. Just driving up to the entrance of the building we knew this would be the place to say “yes” to our cake! Phillip was so helpful and even stayed late to accommodate our time availability.

He took us into the tasting room where we got to choose cake flavors and filling flavors to try out. It didn’t take us long to choose their delicious chocolate cake with chocolate and raspberry filling.

Our cake was five tiers high, super sturdy, perfectly assembled, and absolutely delicious! My husband and I were thrilled with our cake, we couldn’t have imagined that it would taste any better!

I have always wanted to use Patty’s Cakes for my wedding cake ever since I tasted them for the first time! When we picked our wedding venue and they handed us recommended cake vendors and I saw them on the list I knew it was meant to be! They made the cake tasting and decorating process so easy! Delicious cake and great service!

We hired them for our wedding cake last year and it was a great experience. From taste testing to planning to delivery, the entire process was simple and the end product tasted great. The main dude (Phillip?) was also efficient and professional and was dedicated to ensuring we were happy. We’ve definitely let our friends know how great the place is.

They offered a wide variety of cake designs at very reasonable prices, and the cake flavors themselves went really together.

It was also cool that they had a cake in exactly the two colors of our wedding, which were not a common combination!

Great cakes – 5/5!

We had sampled many cakes and visited many cake designers. The service we received was warm and caring. They took the time to listen to our ideas and requests. The end result was spot on and the flavors were better than we expected. I have already suggested Patty’s Cakes to other couples.
