I had such high expectations from this bakery and was extremely disappointed. I should have followed my instinct and avoided giving them my business when their counter staff was rude and dismissive. Here’s everything that went wrong and why they have lost a customer:
1. Rude staff who does not want to help the customer. I went to their shop twice to order a two tier and sheet cake. On my first visit, the lady said that the custom cake person had left for the day. I returned the following day and was told that they only take orders online or by appointment. They couldn’t have told me that the first time?!?
2. Their delivery did not cover the venue event so I asked for delivery to my house. The delivery person left both, a two-tier cake and a sheet cake, completely exposed, unboxed. I called immediately and was that they transport cakes inboxes and the lady advised me to transport the cake in the same manner by placing it on the floor of my car. Completely EXPOSED!! She said that the delivery person also transports them unboxed and exposed! How is that safe and hygienic?!
Needless to say, the transport was an utter disaster as the cake slid off the board even though I was driving at low speeds and extremely carefully.
3. The cake cutting service at the venue informed me that while they were cutting the sheet cake, they found large piece of plastic in the cake!! I wish they had taken a picture of it.
4. I have never had marble cake that looked like an utter mess. Take a look at the picture.
After spending over $400, I am utterly disappointed.
