We got cake balls, cupcakes and a 6 inch cake on top for our wedding. Philip was so helpful on selecting the flavor and his recommendations were excellent. Pattys cakes has just the right balance of sweetness and fluff! They delivered to our venue with no issues and it was excellent! Thank you so much!

[Review] Thank You so Much Kori and Patty’s cakes for making this day memorable

It was a week ago 10/20/14 that I walked into Patty’s Cakes with the intention of getting a Birthday cake for my wife that would have a *wow* factor. I’ve read all the reviews and looked at all the pictures on Yelp for Patty’s cakes and I have to say I was impressed. I walked into the bakery and instantly the reality show *Cake Boss* went through my mind. That’s right I was going in for a *cake consultation* not with Buddy Valastro of *Cake Boss* but with Kori of Patty’s Cakes. I was at a loss for words; I didn’t know there was so many factors that go into a cake. Round, square, fancy, plain, quarter sheet, half sheet, butter cream, ganache. The list goes on and on. Thankfully Kori helped me to navigate through all the * cake lingo*. Basic questions that Kori asked me: how many people is it going to serve? 8-10 people, what’s your wife’s favorite cake?Red velvet
What cartoon character or what is she interested in? Hello Kitty. After the basics were established we went onto the good ol internet to select a Hello Kitty image that would represent Halloween and birthday. It seemed like I spent an eternity at Pattys cake that day trying to pick out the perfect hello kitty image. Throughout the whole time, Kori was very patient and very understanding to a cake *newbie* like myself. In the end it was all worth it to see the reaction my wife and her coworkers had when her cake was revealed to her today on her B Day. Thank You so Much Kori and Pattys cakes for making this day memorable.
[Review] Delicious cakes!!!

This review is long overdue.. we had the pleasure of having our wedding cake done by Patty’s Cakes on 08/31/14.. From the moment we walked in for our consultation.. through our consultation appointment and a couple of meetings after, Phillip and Patty were a pleasure to work with. They were very professional and listened to everything that we had in mind when it came to our wedding cake. But the best part was how DELICIOUS their cakes are!! (we had a combination of red velvet, lemon with raspberry & bavarian custard, and banana with peanut butter) We had gone to other highly recommended bakeries in the area, but none of their cakes came close to being as tasty, fresh and super moist/ melt in your mouth type cake we got from Patty’s Cakes! Patty and Phillip really work with you to bring your wedding cake vision to reality.. being huge baseball fans, we ordered custom made bobbleheads as our cake topper. We were slightly concerned that due to the weight, it might not be able to work out as our cake topper after all.. but Patty and Phillip made it work! We couldn’t be happier with our whole experience and most of all with how delicious our wedding cake was!
[Review] Amazing chocolate fudge frosting!

I had such a difficult time finding this place OMG you cannot see it from the street at all. It’s actually facing CHAPMAN, not RAYMOND Ave.! It’s on the corner of Raymond/Chapman so just turn into the plaza, it’s a very tiny place. I’m really in love with the chocolate fudge frosting WOW. That’s the only reason why I gave it 4 stars lol. But what I don’t like is that there is no display of cupcakes. They do have photos. I guess they rather make it as you order it so they don’t waste cupcakes and also they won’t run out of one flavor. I am just used to looking at the cupcakes and picking out which ones look good. So it was a little odd for me but the photos on the wall help.
They do offer gluten-free cupcakes. They have typical flavors like chocolate cake or vanilla cake and you pick your frosting. Another thing I do not like is the cream filling. Most people might like it but honestly, there’s way more than enough frosting on top and in the middle more cream. I feel like I barely had enough cake, just a ton of sweetness. Customer service is okay but they aren’t that welcoming, just stare at you until you order. That kind of people makes me feel so awkward lol. Cupcakes were good though. Average price is $3.50. They come in cute pink boxes. I think if you buy 3, you get 1 free with the Yelp check-in if they are still offering the deal. I’m not going back though for a very long time because I have bought enough cupcakes for now.
I do prefer Hapa Cupcakes because the owners are super nice and they always remember me, they know what I like and I just feel more special there lol. But definitely worth checking out here too. I read that they make good cakes for weddings and such. They do have a tiny table here in case you can’t wait to eat your cupcakes like me. They have water too. BTW, the gluten-free cupcake tasted just as good, I really couldn’t tell the difference at all. If you’re a chocolate lover, you definitely want to try out their chocolate fudge cupcake. Yum yum.
Thanks for reading! :)

The moment we walked into the bakery, we knew we had found our cake. The Bakery is bright, smells sweet, and is very welcoming & approachable. Patty greeted us with a smile and warmth. She is one of those people you meet and right away can tell she is a good person who loves what she does. We fell in love. She wanted to get to know us, our wedding, our inspiration. She asked if we had pictures, I pulledup my pintrest board and low and behold with out even realizing it was hers, I had picked one of her cakes to show. She laughed and said hey thats my cake! is that on pintrest?? Anyway, how could we say no. Prices were great! especially compared to the competition . We picked the lemon cake and custard, and its going to have a hint of orange as a surprise inside, to go with out poppy colored theme. SO EXCITED!!!!

[Review] No Exaggeration-Best CAKES IN THE WORLD!

Patty’s Cakes baked our cakes for our wedding day and it was probably my favorite part of the
wedding (besides marrying my husband, but of course) We live close by and I found the bakery
through Yelp and just decided since it was so close I’d pop by and see what would happen. We
made an appointment to cake test and Patty helped us that day. She was very lovely and helpful
and kind and just what you would expect from somebody who is around yummy sweets all day
long-HAPPY! Cake testing was by far the best part of wedding planning. In the end, we went
with 4 2-layer cakes with each cake decorated slightly differently and tasting different. Our
flavors were…marble chocolate and vanilla cake with a chocolate chip frosting center, red
velvet with a cream cheese mousse center, lemon cake with a raspberry and Bavarian cream
center, and finally a coconut cake with a pineapple mousse with the outside of this cake being
covered in shredded coconut. I literally dream about these cakes. The prices were unbelievable
and unbeatable besides the quality which was TOP-NOTCH-moist, not too sweet but sweet and
perfect (hi, my whole mouth is full of sweet teeth). My husband and I have different sweet
tastes and Patty’s Cakes was a perfect blend of exactly what we wanted. I couldn’t wait to eat
our cakes so just about every week until my wedding I went to Patty’s Cakes and ordered
cupcakes to eat on my cheat days. That’s how much I LOVE their cupcakes, icing, service,
EVERYTHING! So, our wedding was on a Sunday and they don’t work on Sundays but they did open
their store for my husband to pick up the cakes and no muss no fuss. The cakes arrived
perfectly and were set up exactly to my dream vision. Now imagine this-right before our
sparkler exit while everyone was outside lighting their sparklers, my husband and I went
through the tables and literally gorged our faces with any cake that was left on anyones
plate-literally like crazed, starved animals. True story. So 5 months after eating our amazing
cakes, I still go pretty often because I’m pregnant now and my baby wants cupcakes and she/he
knows whats good and what kind of mother would I be to deprive my child? Anyways, don’t mind
my sidetracks, just GO TO PATTY’S CAKES for any cake needs but especially to brides and grooms
looking for literally the best cakes I’ve ever tasted in my life

I read reviews on Patty’s Cakes and live pretty close by, so I decided to order my wedding cake from there and I hadn’t even tried any of the flavors but I trusted everyone’s reviews on the bavarian raspberry and lemon cake and wow was it delicious! It was not too sweet and not too heavy, just right. Thank you Patty!
[Review] The wedding cake was a hit!

I heard about Patty’s Cakes through a friend that had bought birthday cakes from them. I set up a meeting (within a week of calling they were available!) Patty herself met with us after hours. She gave us her one on one attention without the distraction of other customers or employees. We were able to taste every flavor they had and every filling they had. They were all so delicious it was a seriously hard decision! My husband is not usually a fan of chocolate cake and that one was tied with the lemon (his normal favorite)! all of the cakes are moist and flavorful. We ended up choosing a lemon cake with a lemon filling.
I also love that they don’t use fondant on their cakes! I know it looks pretty but it grosses me out! Patty’s makes beautiful and wonderful designs with their tasty frosting. We are simple people and so chose a simple design of grey ombre frosting. Which we then decorated with greenery to go with our décor. All around it was a wonderful experience. The cake was on time. All handled through my parents so I didn’t even have to worry about it on the day of! All of the guests complimented us on how great the cake was! I will definitely be buying all my cakes (and sweet treats!) from Patty!
