Lemon cupcake was the best! Red Velvet is my second fave here. The cupcakes are moist and I especially love the airy frostings. I’ve tried Sprinkles before but it’s just too sweet for me. Patty makes it just right :) I live 25 minutes away and will be coming back for more!!

Patty’s cupcakes makes great cupcakes. I ordered the red velvet and was very impressed. The frosting was very thick and moist, and the cake was moist as well. I was very impressed and would put it on the same level as sprinkles which I also enjoy.

WHAT A FIND…I cannot believe this awesome as well as fabulous bakery IS IN FULLERTON. Never have I tasted such moist cupcakes and delicate light frosting in my life! I thought Sprinkles Cupcakes were the best, but after eating my first cupcake from Patty’s I will never go elsewhere! What sets this baker above the rest is that cupcakes ordered are frosted fresh when you order them. They are placed in boxes that hold each individual cake studry and seperate from each others. The flavors are bold and distinct. It is apparent that Patty is the real deal and knows how to bake up cakes and cupcakes that melt in your mouth….I will order from her again and again…..

The Miss Fullerton & Fullerton’s Outstanding Teen program loves Patty’s cupcakes and cake balls. Every flavor is incredibly good, moist and make with a lot of attenton to details. I am not a real cupcake fan, but a friend told me I had to go. The cupcake was delicious. It was the chocolate mousse one. Simply delicious. The cupcake was moist and there was just the right amount of frosting. Yum! I had planned to eat only half of it and save the rest for later, but I ate the whole thing in one sitting. The shop is cute and the staff is prompt and friendly. I definitely reccommend it.

I discovered Patty’s Cakes and Desserts last week since I’ve been looking at different bakeries for a cake for my wedding this summer. Needless to say, this bakery takes the cake!
The customer service here is amazing. Patty is so sweet and helpful. Even though they were busy getting ready to deliver a wedding cake when my fiance and I first visited the bakery, they still managed to give us great information and give us their full information and time. Patty even made a sketch and quote for my wedding cake right on the spot! While my official cake tasting appointment isn’t for another week, she did send us home with three free cupcakes: white, lemon, and red velvet all with the vanilla mousse icing. I
I am absolutely in love with her cupcakes! They are so flavorful, moist, light, and had just the right amount of sweetness. I was especially impressed with the white cake. Normally I think white cakes are kind of plain, but this one had so much flavor!!! It was incredible! The icing was amazing. It’s creamy and fresh, and I love that they put it on the cupcake when you order it (so much better than seeing a cupcake sitting in a fridge for who knows how long!). Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and unique. I really can’t wait to try more cupcake flavors!
I’m really looking forward to working with Patty for my wedding cake….the hard part will be deciding on some flavors. :)

One of my patients brought my staff cupcakes from Patty’s Cakes and they were spectacular! Since then I have been back several times buying cupcakes for my staff, my family and my friends. My favorites are the Red Velvet and the Banana based treats. The cupcakes are extremely moist and the frosting isn’t overly sweet. A perfect combination of flavors and textures. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Patty’s Cakes.

As many others have said, this place is hidden. It’s in the Albertson’s parking lot and the store front is facing Commonwealth. When I entered, there was no cupcakes in the display case, just the cake balls. I was greeted by a guy, who was very nice. I asked if they still had the yelp deal and he said yes and that I was probably the 5th person within the hour that came in asking about the deal.
He gave me a sheet with the cupcake selections and he said they will frost the cupcakes to order. I made my selection quickly (red velvet, white cake with chocolate fudge, chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse, and banana with cream), and he said they have them out soon and to help myself to the complimentary beverages. I wasn’t thirsty at the time so I didn’t take advantage of it. While I waited for my cupcakes, a woman and her daughter walked in, to pick up a cake for a birthday. I would have to say the cake she purchased looked delicious. Soon after she left, the guy behind the counter presented me with my cupcakes which were nicely decorated.
Once I got home I wanted to dig into one of the cupcakes, so I picked red velvet. The frosting on the cupcake isn’t like most places, it seem more like a whipped cream topping and many other places it’s like royal icing. I cut the cupcake in half, I don’t like eating a whole cupcake in one sitting, and plus I know my sister would want to eat some because that is her favorite favor of cake. What I found in the center was surprising, there was cream in the center! The cake was moist and fluffy, a big plus for me and the frosting wasn’t too sweet. Even my mom, who is not a cupcake fan or even a dessert fan like the cupcakes, thought the cupcakes were pretty good, she picked the chocolate cake with PB mousse. I had a bite of the choco with PB mousse, it was great, the frosting had a nice PB taste. The banana cake, on the other hand was not my favorite, the cake didn’t have a very banana taste to it, the cream on top wasn’t too bad but it more of a Bavarian cream texture and taste, somewhat pudding/custard like.
Even after 4 days, I cut opened the last cupcake, white cake with choco fudge, the cake was a little moist still. Though, I think it had to do with the cream in the center that helped maintain the moisture. Overall, I would go back to this place again. Maybe even buy a cake for a birthday.

“This review is for people who don’t like their desserts to be too sweet. This place comes in second to my favorite cupcake place. I love Patty’s cream cheese frosting. The whole creation is a perfect balance of sweetness and the cake is more moist than dry. I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. The texture of the cake does not look refined and it kind of shrivels inward by the next day. I would go back when I visit friends in the area though.”
